Hoping to get a glimpse of your face

But as soon as I’m near

Eager to chase you away

Making me wait for the moonlight

I tapped your shoulder

For you to notice me

But those eyes look beyond the horizon

And I am a speck

Which you can no longer see

Where are you?

I search and search

But I only see a jester’s smile

Only hear the cicada’s welcoming the dusk

I would reach someone, not you
