We all have our own stories to tell, feelings to dwell, wounds to heal and experiences to deal with. Somehow these things happen in random which we can have it under control or even all at once that we forget our main role as a human to balance poise over pressure, calm over pain and peace over chaos. In order to cope with these, we tend to mend it in our own unique ways. Some shrugg it off in dancing, others scream it all away in a song, immortalize and capture moments in painting and photography and so on. We all deal life in an artistic way without knowing it. Some discovered it and honed it to its full potential. It's like finding a piece of diamond among the pebbles and decided to keep it by having it as a jewelry. I manage mine with writing poetry.
Everything that I wrote in this book were once scribbles in my head and in my notes - a typical way to start writing. These poems were formed by starting a single word that comes out of my mind and the rest follows after taking a deep breath and by thinking it through while overwhelmed with emotions. Every chapter of this book holds emotions and personal awakening. It could be enthusiasm, pain, sadness, euphoria, phylosophy and self-encouragement - all of these written in extreme passion.
I am no great poet but there is one thing that I am sure of - writing poetry soothes and fulfills me. It makes me understand what and why I felt like getting to know a stranger who came out of nowhere and find out what it beholds. Feelings and confusions exist for us to dig right through it or else we wouldn't get the chance to savor its purpose and miss the luxury to learn. I hope by reading one of these poems, you will get to encounter and understand the feelings you once had and say "Hey, this is exactly the way I felt!"
Indulge.
