The color of solitude
If I could pick a color for solitude,
It would be golden yellow, so bright it
Could blind you,
Just like the midday sun,
A lot of people would rather describe it as a drab, dreary grey,
Like paint coming off after 5000 days,
Why would you say that?
Do you not love yourself enough to enjoy
Your own company?
Solitude and I have known each other for
A long time.
It's like we're spouses, I run to it when the world gets overbearing,
I run to it when things get too intense,
Solitude has always been there for me
My solitude, my bright, blinding solitude,
Just like the midday sun.
