Poem #1
We lived in a flat
You kissed a little cat
That happened to follow us
Home
I flick your nose
Before kissing your chin
And you flash me your widest
Smile
I stumbled through
The door, 2 a.m., drunk
You stare at me, wide awake,
Waiting
I think of you
When it’s raining, when
It’s sunny, of you running to
Me
Your silhouette
Remains etched in memory
Every raindrop rolling down, your
Teardrop
