Introduction

To the reader,

This is my second attempt at writing poetry. It’s based on a subject that I feel strongly about. I would like to thank you for taking the time to read it.

George Perry Floyd Jr. (October 14, 1973 – May 25, 2020) was a black American man killed during an arrest after allegedly passing a counterfeit $20 bill in Minneapolis. A white police officer, Derek Chauvin, knelt on Floyd's neck for nearly eight minutes.[note 1][2][3] After his death, protests against police violence toward black people quickly spread across the United States and internationally. - En.m.wikipedia.org. 2020. Grant Ayers: I liked it. But I think that what's going to happen with this story is that most people come to inkitt to read stories and seeing a book that is a story but formatted as a poem is a little off-putting. But with that said I enjoyed it. So to readers, I think you should totally read this story.

widdershins: I felt compelled to write a review for this work as it seems the author may have written one that was terribly unkind toward themselves. These are a collection of interesting glimpses into different mindsets and situations for people living with mental illness and/or oppressive circumstances.
