Remembered
At the edge, a precipice
where red eyes flow together
they met and lived eternity,
beyond time’s dissever.
Her heart fit to break,
as his body already broken down.
A fit of arsenic passion’d kiss
and then he drifts away, ashes on the wind.
Her disembodied voice floats back to him,
in the under, a space between;
“One day, in the dead of night, when the moon’s hue
is a deeper blue, I’ll come for you. Where the world
sleeps and dreams a dream of you and I awake,
paradise between our bodies and the warmth below the stake.
Until then, I'll sit and wait."
