NO HOLDS BARRED: THE RESURGENCE
Where did these walls come from?
The era of these holds that barred us is done!
You see....
We have allowed ourselves to get caught up
With tradition
Religion
Formality
And comfortability
Soldiers, stand at attention
Arm yourselves, for this is HOLY war!
For the Kingdom suffereth violence
And we, the violent, take it by force
Where did these walls of religion come from?
The era of these holds that bar is done!
What happened to the spontaneous church of the living God?
Who allowed God to just come in and move in His way?
No need for a preacher to stand in the pulpit all the time!
No need for an agenda to keep us in line!
Yet we follow the same cycle every Sunday
Don’t you think that is why the people of God are tired?
We are stuck to the same old, hence we lost our fire
Pastors welcoming earthly desires
Of money and fame
While the members are dwindling down to the wire
Where did these walls of bondage come from?
The era of these holds that bar us is done!
Why aren’t souls being delivered?
Is it our actions that are shipping them down the river
Our hostility, making those walls they have created thicker
With hatred and pain
Maybe that is why the life expectancy of our youth is getting thinner
Why is the Body of Christ dried up?
But yet it feels as if we have been beaten to a pulp
We have been drugged
By the lush fame
So much that our savour has left us
Where did these walls of compromise come from?
The era of these holds that bar us is done!
But we need a change, a move
To shake us and put us back in the groove
To ween us off of the spiritual booze
And to break down the denominational rules
We cannot pursue God’s glory
If we have strict rules to be holy
Religious barriers around our testimony
And blockages that prevent us from manifesting fully
So cast down all these walls from whence they come
Because the era of these holds that barred us are done!
