The Thoughts of a Perfectly Imperfect Teenager

Introduction

First of all, I want to thank everybody who is reading this. This is my first book, and I have so many ideas for actual stories, but this is the first thing I wrote on here that was good enough to be published.

So I’m going to go ahead and say these are my own opinions. You don’t have to agree with me, nor do I expect you to. I would love to hear your opinions on some of these topics as well, so be free to comment or message me what you think.

We all dream of becoming a really great author, singer, or something amazing that we can contribute to the world with. We all have times where we struggle with our identity and who we are.

God gave me the ability to express feelings and emotions in words. To be able to contribute something to the world of writing. For that, I will forever be grateful.

God gave everyone the desire to love and to be loved by someone. To fit in. To want a sense of belonging. To be accepted for who you are and not who the world is forming you to be.

I’ve gotten that sense. Not as much as I would have liked, but I have. I’m still a teenager and have so many years ahead of me to learn about the world.

It feels like we’re alone, but we just don’t realize how many people are actually there for us and understand us. All over the world, right now, there are people just like you. They’re either lonely, they’re depressed, they’re hurt, they’re missing somebody, they’re scarred from the past, they’re going through things no one knows about, they have secrets you wouldn’t believe. They wish, they dream, they hope. And right now, they’re reading the words of someone who’s been through all of those. But survived. So you’ll survive too. I get it. It’s so frustrating when you hear people talking shit about you when they think they know something about you when in fact they know nothing at all. But you have to keep going.

No matter how bad life may seem, there is always something you will be good and succeed at. We are all different, yet we are all humans and therefore have strengths and weaknesses and feelings that can be hurt. With age comes experience and wisdom. With youth comes the discovery of knowledge and of who you are. But no matter who or what you are, when there’s life, there’s hope. So never give up on yourself or anyone else.

Please don’t hate people for who they are because it takes great courage to be yourself. And be kind because everyone’s fighting a harder battle than you think.

You can’t change the world if you let the world change you, so always, always be yourself.

“Life has its ways of casually throwing heartstopping, gut-wrenching catastrophes in your face, but in the end, we all have to save ourselves.” - Emmalina

Thank you everyone for all of your support, and I hope you like my book.
