Which Way

I see what you did there
Brushing up against me
Probably on a wild dare
Couldn't leave things be

You're driving me crazy
The closer you are to me
Everything else gets hazy
But you're crystal clear to see

This game you play
Will it lead to something real
Or will it simply decay
Please tell me the deal

We'll flirt all night
Before heading out
Doesn't make it right
And I'm starting to doubt

This pattern set in stone
Is it right or wrong
This is something you have to own
You have to be strong

A fork in our road
Which way do you choose
This answer I'm owed
And I don't like to lose

So take my hand
Or leave right now
I'm ready to make a stand
Or will you take a bow

Will this become something real
Or are you just playing
You know how I feel
Do you need anymore swaying

One final last word
Before last call
You know this is absurd
Its time to give it your all

Lets leave this place
Your hand in mine
A change of pace
It'll all
be
fine

Richard D. Cooper: I wish I could write poetry like this. It's clever because it also tells a story, too. I like the flow of it, the way sentences slip together as they should. Very good indeed. I have also started to read your others works, and will review them when finished. Keep going. Never stop.

maxniederhofer: Kara,I loved this. The one suggestion I would make is to show me, don't tell me. E.g."Now look at your skin / It is beautiful / You are beauty pure."It might be better to use more evocative imagery and language to make me feel, i.e. truly comprehend, the pure beauty, rather than telling me it is ...

Shubh Guru: when i'm reading this novel, I remember all my school days, all i feel like i m back to my old days, all the misery come to "bay" and how she come back like a shinning star are so good...this is my first book and i love this because it contains all the thing, love ,betrayl, losing some one who lo...

Barbara Ivusic: I really loved this poem. Perfect use of imagery to outline the digital age. I loved the image of the olive branch and how it is posted for all to see but no one can touch it. Everything you describe is so true that it has become common knowledge yet no one acknowledges it anymore. I look forward...
