Stand for a Being

“Stand for a Being”

Written by: Janel Spiegel @butterflyjms

I look past all those words.

I see through the rugged clothing.

I would have marched alongside Dr. King.

Fought some battles and hoped to win.

Sat on a bus with Ms. Parks.

Looked at those left for dead.

The Holocaust, how can you say it did not exist?

Weary, weepy souls disagree.

You cannot have so much faith in me.

Lie, cheat, steal.

Hey, VOTE for me! I will make you a deal!

Sit at my table, drink my champagne.

Dom something, something, it is a fancy type name.

Don’t look at them.

They sit on the streets.

They panhandle, beg, cheat, lie and steal.

Hey wait a minute running mate that is you in that last debate.

Scandal, beg and mercy.

They do not unite.

A world divided is not one we need

A world united, yes please!

Fighting and riots till the clouds of smoke fade

Fighting so fast, hey Mr. Officer you seen my shades?

I am you, you are me.

Together we can certainly “Let it be.”

Belief in fight is not right.

Belief in truth that is what I told you!

Dr. King to the Dalai Lama

May peace prevail one day in this chaos called life?

May we learn love, existence and light.

May we shed the darkness, value life.

Knock over those barricades and hey let’s have a talk.

Peace to all.

Sarah D: I absolutely adore this novel, it really tugs at the heart strings. I work with autistic young people and the way the story is told is unmistakably beautiful and is written in a why that deals with the subject of autism in the kindest manner I strongly recommend this to everyone.

fellipxx: I loved this novel, it was very sweet and big on the emotions I really enjoyed it and could not stop reading not even for a second, I even cried a little bit at a few touching moments too. And overall I found this book sweet, realistic and cheesy (I like the cheesy stuff).

alidadegroot: Love the story

Purplecheetahlover1: I think this is the best book I have ever read mostly because if the main charcter feels pain I feel pain.

2014tanjieminchloe: There are some spelling mistakes and the grammar is wrong sometimes but its a really good story love it

Jayden: This is the best f ing book I have ever read. I love the storyline and I love the wrriting style. This is the coolest book I have ever read. Seriously, I didn't expect the turn that this book took, but I'm loving it, holy shitaki.

jeweltones20031: Love this book. Can’t put it down!

Baby llama Mama: Definitely holds MY interest. Freyja and Sinclair are strong characters that are far from cliché, so don't expect her every thought to be of his facial features or him to get them into something terrible that drags the story out. They communicate, fight (others), and move forward like the perfect...

Anagha Sant: Really a good story
