I keep waiting

Starry night, shining up the night sky,
Beautiful moon, placed up so high.
Looking up, a teardrop leaves my eye,
Thinking about you, I take a sigh.
The promise of our love, is on the ridge,
Something sinister is breaking our bridge.
I try to hold on to you, but I slip,
It's my heart, which you rip.
Tonight is the last we would meet,
From tomorrow, we would never greet.
I keep pretending to love you very much,
But you do know the truth, it is such.
I have to confess the truth tonight,
Maybe from tomorrow I won't get your sight.
I know it's painful for us to part,
But we have to be strong at heart.
Maybe you already left me here,
I know it's the pain in your heart, you can't bear.
But I do keep hoping to see you, i keep waiting.........
By the shiny lake, on a starry night,
I keep waiting to get your sight.
It's your presence, which gets me expecting,
I keep waiting..........
