The bud at the tip falls down
As the wind blows.
Your kohl lined eyes get closed in this wind,
As the tiny bird jumps and plays
A rhythm comes into being.
Your eyes feel drowsy with sleep,
The sunlight falls on your cheeks.
Does it drive away a little bit of your weariness my love?
It is then that your mystical warm breath
Picks up my longing heart and brings it to your embrace.
You brought me back,
You made me feel alive,
You filled this parched heart,
In my soul and my blood,
You flooded me with all your love.
Through the thick fog can you see?
The tiny leaf of our memory
That you had carved with your hands
The leaf holds the address to my poetry.
The current of this love
Makes my soul sing and dance.
And with it,
My heart begins its first flight.
A single look from you
drives the night wild.
And the warmth spreads,
like a fireplace in an enclosed space.
And even today the memories of us burn like warm embers.
You brought me back,
You made me feel alive,
You filled this parched heart,
In my soul and my blood,
You flooded me with all your love.
