Poems That Make You Feel Something

it's kinda like drowning.

The darkness is pulling you down,

and you're trying your hardest to make it to the top;

to finally get that breath of air.

You try everything,

but nothing you do gets you to the surface,

you're stuck.

You use all your might to beat those waves,

and some get over,

while others drown.

Darkness makes you feel like everything around you is crumbling,

like even if you escape one wrong step could throw you back in.

It's like a stain,

once it touches you it never goes away,

not really.

Some escape,

others sink deeper and deeper until there's no light left.
