Dark Embrace
Blinded by its presence
Deafened by its silence
Muted by its indifference,
and Numbed by its touch
It jests at your ignorance,
thinking its not always there
It's in your lungs and in your eyes
In your veins and in your hair
In my heart and in our skies
It's everywhere
Though many take solace in its absence
I feel as though I am being picked apart
Leave me in the tar that churns my heart
leave me in this dark
Where I know nothing
Feel nothing
See nothing
Hear nothing
Where i just exist
Comforted in its' Embrace
I am content
