Epitome of Insanity

He was made of symphonies so sublime

Crystalline eyes that were relentlessly cold

Yet when he smiles it shines so bright

And in that very moment everything feels so right

Like a ghost he haunts me

He disappears so suddenly

I’m left wondering when he’d be back

Missing the alluring sound of his voice

When he speaks sweet nothings

My stomach flips not by choice

I can’t help the longing

And I don’t even know his name

He only resides in my brain

A figment of my imagination

After countless of heartbreak and rejection

Projecting an adequate character felt like my obligation

To supplant the mediocrity of boys

Who played girls like toys.
