A Collective of Poems
Like a refreshing wake up call to the new world order
Paved with peace of mind and wonder
The trip back
A crushing weight
Realizing all I was awoken to is now leaving me behind as I go backwards once more
Into a familiar area
That has brought me deep dread
Being here
A troublesome life
Filled with doubt and fear and worry
A bucket of ice poured over my head in a shocking wave.
Stealing my breath and making me see the world I am destined to always be a part of
The dreadfilled, melancholy, dull life.
Of someone who wants to see the world
But is to afraid to leave the area which holds her back
Not because it is comfortable
But because she always ends up back where she began
In a cage.
