Rain, Rain, Go Away
rain, rain, go away
come again some other day
it's time to go, time to play,
time to live a different way.
get your feet on the steady floor,
run the comb through your messy, tangled hair,
step outside, whether it be nose through a window or standing on the lawn.
close your eyes and breath,
for a moment.
different eyes, a different face.
the sky no longer looks musty,
but bright and not as hasty.
clear your mind and open your mouth,
shout different things up above.
you deserve to let your voice be heard, so call up to the heavens,
tell them you won't go,
won't go without a fight.
rain, rain, go away.
