Why does it feel
Dark and empty
If my mind is racing
And I can't sleep
And I can't think
It's dark
Its clouded
With feelings that
Haunt me
That keep me awake
That scare me
But also
Those feelings
Are what keeps me strong
Keeps me going everyday
Helps me wake up in the morning and say
"Its a good day...let's make it even better"
I do this
Because I don't want to prove those feelings right
To give into those feelings
The thought of giving in...
Is dark and empty
