Why You Dont Drink Before Driving

I was 16

You were too

Separated by only 10 minutes

We were born in the same hospital

In rooms right next to each other.

She named me Stella

And she named you Stella too.

You had blonde hair and green eyes

I had blonde hair and green eyes

We were the same, you and I.

It was October and I was the only one sober(?)

Between us I was in the better position

So I drove while you giggled and laughed

At other drivers with dogs sticking their heads out

Of open windows and people who blasted their

Music too loudly. I was the one driving when the

Man in the big red truck hit us.

They told me you died upon impact.

We aren’t the same anymore.

Further Recommendations

HannahD.: So it’s good but it’s not exactly poetry it’s just like it said it is it’s thoughts and I love seeing the way other people think and feeling things others are going through that I relate to but this is a lot about healing kind of but 8/10 would recommend

Dake Mak: This was my first time reading this kind of books but I’m in love with them now. This is what I’m going to do every time I feel exhausted

saneegarba23: I like everything about the book , don't think if there is any defects worth turning one off the book. As per recommendation it is a text that i should be recommending for all bookworms and novel enthusiasts.

Bridgit Thompson: I normally don’t like reading on my phone but I loved this book the way it keeps me intrigued in the story and wanting to keep reading

Rita Kathlyn: We are a projection of the Mind of God - Carl SaganTo see the World in a grain of sandAnd Heaven in a wild flowerHold Infinity in the palm of your handAnd Eternity in an hour - William Blake

mari_emeraude: There are some beautiful "gems of thought" woven in between these verses of pain & loss. If these words are the result of a true incident in your life, I hope writing will give you the therapy you need to heal.

coupe: You have a good story here. Difficult to read as it almost seems English isn’t your first language. It is riddled with misspellings and poor grammar. On occasion it seemed you lost context of who or what was happening in the same paragraph. I think with a good editor you will have a really market...
