Chapter 15

“This pie is amazing.” Dominic said as he scraped the last remnants on to his fork. “You made this from scratch?”

Mom shook her head and pointed to me. “Felicity made a bunch of dinners for me, I haven’t had to cook since she left. I just put something in the oven and it’s done. Lord knows why she thought I’d need an apple pie.”

“Everyone needs dessert.” I laughed looking back at Dominic with a mischievous grin. The last time we’d attempted having dessert together it had ended up with us covered in chocolate sauce.

“Did you teach her to cook?” Dominic asked Mom as he caught my grin and mirrored it.

Mom shook her head and placed her fork down. She looked over at me and smiled. I could see the nostalgia in her eyes, the memories flitting by. She placed her hand over mine and then looked back over at Dominic.

“Her father and I were workaholics.” She murmured. “Felicity taught herself. She’s always been an overachiever, so it wasn’t surprising that she could come up with the most interesting taste combinations.”

“I wasn’t that good.” I laughed. “But I kept us fed in those early years.”

“You are that good.” Mom insisted. “You’re a good girl, a good person.”

I looked down at the apple pie and let my fork mix through the melting ice cream. Despite my achievements, I’d never felt that good. I let him drag me down.

“Thanks Mom.” I managed to say, although my voice was thick with emotion.

After we’d all finished Dominic and I took all the dishes to the sink. I was washing them when he placed his hand on my shoulder. “You make me feel safe.” He whispered.

“I do?”

“Yes, and I wanted you to know.” He picked up the plate I had just washed and began to dry it with the nearby red and white tea towel. “Today has been one of the best days I’ve ever had.”

“I feel the same.”

I turned to look at Mom and Molly. They were on the couch, deep in conversation. Molly was cuddled up in to Mom’s arms. “She never had a grandma.” Dominic murmured. “Watching her with your mom... it does something to me. Fills me happiness.”

“Me too.” I admitted. “For the longest time it’s just been her and I.”

I turned back to the dishes. “It’s cool to see her like this.”

After we had finished washing up we played a game of Pictionary, and then that turned in to a game of Monopoly. Before we knew it, it was nearing dinner time so we ate at Moms. Molly fell asleep as we were cleaning up. So we went home and Dominic carried her inside.

I was in the kitchen drinking a glass of water when Dominic walked in and wrapped his arms around my waist. “Stay with me tonight?”

I placed the glass down on the bench and turned around “You’re not sick of me yet then?” I replied.

“Sick of you?” Dominic murmured. “I don’t think that’s even physically possible Felicity.”

“Flattery will get you everywhere.” I smiled. I kissed him softly on the lips. “I’ll stay with you tonight. I’m going to go take a shower first though.”

“Alright, come up to my room when you’re done okay?”

“Of course.” I replied.

He stepped back, his eyes feasted on my skin like I was a delicious morsel waiting to be eaten. “Don’t take too long.”

“You’re insatiable Dominic.” I giggled.

“Because I met you.”

He left the kitchen, and I stood there for a minute, barely able to comprehend how quickly things had changed. As soon as we had admitted how we felt to one another, we’d fallen into a relationship. What if I messed it up?

I pushed the thought from my head, being with Dominic made me feel alive, and despite my fears, I knew I was right where I was supposed to be.

I walked through the kitchen and found my way to the bathroom. I showered, washing my hair with coconut scented shampoo and conditioner. Once I was clean I turned the water off and stepped out. I wrapped the towel around me and walked down the hall to my bedroom. I pulled on a pair of checked pyjama pants and a white t-shirt, hardly the epitome of sexy, but given I hadn’t come to live here for hot unadulterated sex it was understandable.

I slipped my phone into my pocket before walking through the hallways. I took a long deep breath before I knocked on Dominic’s door. I heard him walk across his floor. The handle of the door moved and opened, and we stood face to face. Our eyes met, locking in place. Suddenly what I was wearing didn’t matter.

Dominic stepped back, holding the door open. I stepped inside, drawing my eyes from his too take in the room. The lighting was dim, candles provided the only light, and there were two glasses of wine set on the bedside table and a small flat rectangular box beside it.

“I love you.” He said as the door clicked behind me.

“I love you too.” I replied with an honest smile. “What is all this.” I turned to face him as I motioned around the room.

“I’ve never been a romantic guy. I wanted to try it, being with you made me want to try it.”

I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck as he walked up to me. “I bought you a present.”

“A while ago.” He admitted. “Promise you won’t think it’s cheesy.”

My heart skipped a beat and I shook my head. Nothing Dominic did was cheesy, the mere fact he had been so closed off until me set my body off like fireworks. I did this too him, I made him feel like he was human.

He moved to the side of me and walked to the table. He picked up the box and handed it to me. “I’ve had this since the first time we...” He stopped and even in the dim light I could see his face flush a deep shade of pink. “The first time we made love.”

I smiled and let the warmth of his admission wash over me. I lifted the lid off the box felt my lips draw into an ‘O’ it was exquisite. The chain was dainty and light, a silver chain that felt weightless beneath my fingers. The pendant, well the pendant had tears pricking my eyes. It was a small frosted Swarovski crystal heart, I knew the significance straight away. He’d given me his heart, way back then.

“It’s beautiful. Thank you.”

Dominic placed the necklace around my neck, kissing my shoulders as he found the clasp. Once he was done his hands slid around the front of my body, over my stomach and down to the waist of my pants. Like an adventurer he delved beneath the soft warm fabric, his fingers danced along my sex like he was typing some kind of magic code. In one swoop he pulled them down until they were at my ankles. “Nice PJ’s” Dominic murmured in my ear as one hand moved underneath my white shirt “But I need to feel your skin again.”

“Please.” I managed to whisper.

“Lift your arms up.” He ordered, but his voice was soft and seductive. I did as he asked without question and let out a lustful sigh as he lifted the white shirt up, his hands followed up my arms as it pulled it off completely. Like Rose on Titanic, I was naked except for a beautiful heart necklace. I didn’t ask Dominic to paint me like once of his French girls though. I just stood there, shivering with anticipation.

He took me in for a moment, absorbing me until his eyes and heart were drowning with images of me. He wrapped one arm around my waist and pulled me into his still clothed body. I let my hands slide underneath the fabric like he had done with me, and as if by reading my mind he shed his shirt. My lips found the softness of his pectoral muscle, it tightened at my touch. Dominic’s fingertips grazed my naked shoulder, causing me to tense. I looked up and he smiled down at me his lips pressed against mine a moment later, soft at first building in intensity until I began to ache for more. My hands moved south, over the smoothness of his skin, and through the soft tufts of hair. His kiss deepened further as I wrapped my fingers around him. He sucked on my bottom lip, letting out a soft almost wistful moan as I moved my hand.

“You’re killing me.” He managed to grunt through clenched teeth.

“How?” I whispered.

“You touch me and it’s like I can’t control myself. I’m there, on the brink, ready to explode. Every. Single. Time.”

I smiled proud of my abilities, but Dominic frowned and shook his head. “It’s not a good thing.” He grumbled. “At my age, I’m supposed to have more stamina.”

“Stamina isn’t the issue.” I replied. “Our pure sexual chemistry is.”

Dominic’s frown changed to a grin he lifted me up, my hand slipped from him, and instantly I missed the hard warmth. His lips found mine again and he walked me to the bed. His pants fell to the ground as he released me, I fell backwards on to the bed and he leaned down over me. His fingers trailed downward, slipping inside. I arched in shock and delight at the touch. I grabbed at his shoulders, and pushed him down on to the bed as I climbed on top. He looked up at me with, vulnerable and almost tense.

“Are you alright?” I whispered.

He nodded slowly and lifted me, guiding himself inside. It was a different kind of fullness, one that touched me from head to toe. I moved above him, controlling the rhythm and the speed. Dominic’s eyes caught mine, equal parts afraid and excited. I could feel my climax begin to build. It was different than the other times, it started in a different place, rolling through me like a sound wave. I fell apart on top of him, my body tensed and I felt overcome with emotion, although I wasn’t sure why. I could barely move, the orgasm had rendered me almost ineligible of living. Sensing my sexual inebriation Dominic sat up and wrapped his arms around my back. He held me, and helped me continue to move above him, I climaxed again, falling deeper than the first time, I choked for air, barely breathing through the sweet pain.

“I could watch you like this all night.” Dominic murmured in my ear.

“Please.” I urged, unable to formulate a sentence. “I need you.”

“I need you too.” He replied. He turned me on to my back while he was still inside me, his eyes never once left mine, although mine kept closing in an attempt to hold back the post orgasm shivers that continued to grip my body. He lifted my legs over his shoulders and pulled my body back in to his closing the gap between us even more than I’d thought physically possible. I felt him tense, his fingers grabbed at my shoulders and he bent down to kiss me. He released one leg and let his fingers brush against me again. I knew he what he wanted, but I wasn’t sure I had a third climax in me. Out of nowhere though the familiar feeling of release began to build. Dominic was spurred on, he built his speed and fervor until with one last thrust we fell apart together, hard and with more heart than ever before.

Exhausted we fell back on to the bed, relaxing in each other’s arms. I don’t remember the moment I fell asleep, I just knew that it was the most peaceful I’d ever felt.
