Chapter 8

“You wanna go get some drinks and dance?” Jason asked me.

I’ve never had any type of alcohol at all before.

“I’d love to,” I replied with a smile walking with him side by side.

We walked over to the table and he got us drinks, I think we both had.. vodka? It honestly didn’t taste bad though, it tasted good to me. After a few drinks, both Jason and I started dancing.

If I’m gonna be honest.. I was L I T, then again I was practically half drunk. My Mom would probably kill me if she saw me like this, so I was gonna ask Quinn if it was possible for me to stay over for the night.

“I’m gonna go get more drinks,” I said.

“Alright, I’ll be here waiting.” Jason replied as I walked back to the table pouring myself some more vodka.

“Are you having fun?” a guy behind me asked as I turned around soon noticing it was Ryder.

“Yeah, this is a great party!” I replied followed by a chuckle.

“Hey, can I talk to you outside for a minute? Where it’s not so loud?” Ryder asked.

“Sure.” I replied as he smirked and started walking, me following him from behind.

Ryder had a pool in his backyard, and it was just so blue. The door to his backyard was just a sliding door so it made it easy to go in and out of the house. There were a few pretty lights outside.

I watched Ryder closed the sliding door and walked over to me, I was basically leaning against the wall admiring how blue to pool looked.

“What did you want to talk about?” I asked as he walked over standing in front of me.

“You know Maria, I know you’re new and all but.. you look REALLY hot tonight.” he replied stepping closer to me.

“Uh, thanks?” I replied not sure where this was going.

Ryder soon moved in closer to me, his hand pinned on the wall above my head as he looked down at me leaned in close to my face.

Now, I was really nervous.

“How about you and me have a little fun?” he asked using his free hand to lift up my chin so I was looking at him.

“Um, you’re making me uncomfortable…” I replied finding an empty space to leave, which was the other side but he soon placed his other hand against the wall still looking down at me.

“Come on Mari, don’t you want this? ANY girl would love to be in your position.” he replied.

“Any girl that would love to be in this position would be stupid then.” I replied.

“Ooh, sass. I love it.” Ryder replied with a smirk.

“Ryder, you’re drunk. Please leave me alone.” I replied going under one of his arms about to leave until he grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me back to him, Ryder now holding my waist tightly.

I punched him, slapped him, and did everything else I could to escape but he wasn’t phased by any of it. It was no use, I couldn’t escape his grip.

“Come on, let’s play.” Ryder said, the smirk still on his face as he leaned down close to my face trying to kiss me but I turned my head away.

He reeked of alcohol.

“I don’t want too, now let me go and leave me alone.” I replied, but he was still persistent.

I soon heard the sliding door being opened.

“I think she told you to leave her alone.”
