Chapter 1

The lights were sparkling on the Christmas tree. But they were nothing compared to the roses between them. Some of these roses were as pink as clouds. The others had shades of magenta.

In addition, Marcus’ sweet singing voice flooded the living room this Christmas Eve. His wife Natalie and two daughters Abigail and Gabrielle were able to both stop thinking about their struggles and willing to lose themselves in the magical silence around them.

He suddenly became inspired by beautiful distant Christmas music from a neighbor’s house to take his wife’s hand and start dancing with her. Both of their daughters cheered and clapped. This was truly a night of celebration.
