Chapter 60

Nico’s POV:

I ended up sitting on my bed, back against the headboard and had khloe sit with her legs on either side of me.

I figured that given our height difference, this was probably one of the most comfortable positions for us to do this in.

Khloes eyes were pretty much glued downwards. It was obvious that she was nervous about this.

“Are you sure you want to do this now?” I asked softly.

She nodded slowly before lifting her head.

“Yeah.” she responded quietly, failing to hide her nerves.

I repeated her nod as a response, leaning forward.

I didn’t want to do this. I really didn’t.

But if it kept her safe... I guess it’ll be worth it.

I reached my hand around her head, moving her hair to expose her neck.

She averted her eyes from me as I did, her nervousness quickly turning into fear.

Of course she was scared. She was about do have a vampire feed from her.

Still, I wasn’t going to take a lot, just enough to show that I took some.

“Are you ready?”

She took in a deep breath.

“Yeah...” She repeated.

It didn’t sound very confident, but then again I wasn’t expecting it to.

I leaned in a bit more, setting one of my hands on her back to push her forward.

My other hand brushed through her hair before I set it against her head.

I was going to hold her still if I wanted this to hurt as less as possible.

This needed to be as quick and painless as possible.

So, not wanting to build up any more suspense, I leaned in.

Khloe’s entire body went tense as soon as I did, her arms shooting around me to hold onto my upper back.

And instead of just getting it over with like I had intended to, I ended up resting my forehead on her shoulder.

This huge feeling of guilt had just filled up my chest, making the idea of actually doing this sickening.

“N-Nico?” she questioned, obviously confused by what I was doing.

“You’re so scared.” Is all I said.

That was all I could say because that was the only explanation I had for why I stopped.

Khloe was quiet for a moment, her hands rubbing against my back.

“I'm not scared of you,” she began, “I'm just... scared of tomorrow.”

I lifted my head up after she spoke.

I didn't even realize that I was scared of her being scared of me until now.

She continued.

“I guess I’m scared of the bite, just because of how they’ve happened before but,” She paused for a second, “This one is going to be different right? I trust you so i know that I don’t have anything to worry about.”

I just looked at her for a moment, trying to get the feeling in my stomach to go away. Looking at the beautiful features of her face always seemed to calm me down.

Then, an idea popped into my head.

“You just need the bite to be noticeable right?”

Her brows furrowed, obviously confused as to where I was going with this.

“Okay,” I began, “Let’s try this again.”

I leaned in again, finding the spot below her ear a little bit above where her neck met her shoulder.

She tensed yet again as my lips skimmed her skin,, but I doubted that I’d have to deal with that for much longer.

If she needed noticeable then i’ll give her noticeable.

So, instead of biting, I decided to suck on the skin there.

Which surprised Khloe if her sudden inhale and the newly found nails digging into my back told me anything.

A couple of jumbled noised sounded from her mouth, but I don’t think she knew what she was trying to say

I was still going to bite her, but this would make it easier on both of us once I did. Getting her to relax before I would have to bite her was also going to make it less painful for her.

Plus her reaction to this was beginning to be enjoyable.

I let my hand trail softly up and down her back while I fought against my sudden want to kiss my way down her neck to see if i could get a better reaction.

I had to stop myself from thinking like that. This was the wrong time to be thinking about that.

Except when Khloe let out a breathy moan as she said my name in a questioning manner it was all I could think about. That’s also when I realised that having her on my lap wasn’t the best place for her to be.

I didn’t even have time to think before I had us flipped, earning a gasp from Khloe.

One of my hands still held in her hair while the other one held me up.

Okay... I needed to do something before this went too far.

I needed to bite her.

I tore myself away from her neck long enough to whisper an apology before i bit into her skin.

Her nails dug deeper into my back as a strained whine exited her throat.

It wasn’t long until the sweet taste of her blood hit my tongue, and the hum of pleasure began to run through my body.

God, blood directly from a human was beyond amazing.

Yet, no matter how amazing it was I wasn’t ever willing to take it from Khloe.

Khloe’s long shaky exhale told me that she was trying to just work with the pain.

She was doing well, holding as still as she could.

Her grip on me slowly began to decrease as the purr began to resonate in my chest.

Somehow she was calming herself down.

I could hear the slow, deep breaths she was taking and how it was slowly beginning to slow down her racing heart rate.

Which was perfect because I had just taken as much as I needed to.

I carefully removed my fangs from her flesh, placing my tongue over the wound to stop the bleeding.

Khloe’s hands fell from my back onto the bed as her body relaxed out of releaf.

As soon as I was sure her wound was closed I pushed myself up to look down at her.

Her face was red as she looked back up at me.

I couldn’t help but laugh at that.

“I hope that wasn’t too bad.” I said.

Khloe shook her head slowly.

“N-no. It wasn’t.” She responded.

I smiled before rolling off the top of her so I was laying beside her and facing the ceiling.

I’m glad that was over.

That definitely went a bit... Different than I expected.

“Nico what was that... Thing you started off with?” She asked.

I turned my head to see that her face was still red.

I guess she really did enjoy that part of it.

I couldn’t help but smirk before I spoke.

“That was me making it noticeable.”
