Chapter 1

Chapter 1. Beginning of Fall

I don’t know why I’m here, but I guess I am thanks to my old man who likes to waste money for my ‘education’. I am currently in England for some odd and unreasonable reason. According to my dad, he suddenly just wanted to have another mansion in England because uncle recently bought a great mansion in the States thus I am dragged to England (he is also a fan of the classic gentlemen feature in London). However, he did buy a mansion, but rarely comes home. He’s always out with mom traveling around the world, and I am left here in England. Alone. In a big house. Alone. They may be my blood-related parents, but sometimes I don’t know what they think of their own child, but it’s better than dragged off to travel with them. I feel bad for my little brother.

Right now, I am at my new private school, Saint Marius Private School. It’s a private school for top rich kids go to. The elegant school has the best well-known professors and great facility.

“You must be the new enrolled student. Hello, I’m Jason Grant, the student council secretary. You must be Eugene Vincent. It is rare to have a new student at this time, but I hope you get along with us well. Follow me, I’ll show you around.” Jason said.

His blond hair and thin framed glasses makes him look like an actual secretary in a company. Without giving me any time to speak, he dragged me around the school. His dark brown eyes always faced the front and rarely looked back to look at me.

The school is very big for sure. The cafeteria food is all made from top famous chefs with high quality ingredients. Everything is top class at this school. After going around the school for a bit, we stop at a classroom that says D3005.

“Eugene, this will be your homeroom. You will be introduced to your classmates. I hope you have a great time at Saint Marius.” Jason knocks the door twice and leaves .

The door opens and the professor stands in front of the class. He motions me in and I am introduce myself to my new classmates.

“ Hello, I am very pleased to be here. My name is Eugene Vincent and I hope to get along well with everyone here.”

There are small chatters going on. Well, this isn’t surprising. I get the same treatment wherever I go. As soon as they hear my name, they will start feel unsure and uncomfortable. They either despise us and talk behind our backs or try to get our attention for a contract. It isn’t new. The Vincent family is among the highest of most of the riches. They hold most of the financial power in the world. Also, they have companies all around the world selling variety of high class merchandises which are famous and popular.

The professor quiets the class down and moves on with the class. I am assigned to a seat in the middle row nearest to the window. Staring outside the window, the fall red leaves fall and the sun hides its face behind thin layers of clouds. This is the start of a new life in England. I pray that nothing happens bad like last time I was at school.

Alex Rushmer: Chapter One: Not much is happening in this chapter, but I was absolutely fascinated by the depth of your character development. I love how you just sat there with the reader and explored Eddward. Usually, that sort of thing gets boring very fast, but this was actually really cool! He's so unique ...

Shifa Gohar: this book is my first on inkitt and I love it thoroughly...but i guess this is not the end. The characters were amazing the plot too. At times it scared me more than a horror movie would. Love the plot something i had not read in a while.

Katy Rayne: i really enjoyed this book. i have to say i didn't know what to expect, but with every chapter that came something crucial to keep you reading happened. I was disappointed with the ending if this is for another book i will defiantly carry on reading the next book.

Alex Rushmer: This was not what I expected, but I enjoyed it a lot Malfoy was always one of the characters that I liked a lot, so I like that a lot of this happens between him and Colette. I read the first couple chapters, and I enjoyed your writing style and am excited to see where you take this story. My com...

SandraHan1: This story is very descriptive, with vivid scenes from the very beginning, which made for a good scene setting. I love the symbolism in names, such as “Naysayers”, “Hadd”, etc . The story itself is revolutionary, intriguing, emotional and exciting. I was very pleased to see that there is a happy ...

Grapes Are Juicy yes!!!: I give this novel FIVE STARS ! This novel is worth reading from the beginning to the end! The plot and conflicts in this story are very smartly integrated. The language facility is a little odd , but i guess this was done on purpose, given the novel's set era. Other than that, this should definit...

Hudson: Your story was fantastic Erin! The Rising Sun was one of the first stories I read on Inkitt, and I have to say I don't regret the three to four days I spent pouring through the story.Probably the biggest strength I see in your writing is your characterisation of Eliana, Oriens, and the rest of th...

Alkira Joan: Great story, I found it hard to read especially the dialogue. You just need to fix up some spelling errors and the gramma .I enjoyed this book. was a little hard to get though.,.,..,.,.,,..,.,.,, , , , ,.,, , , , , , , ,., , ,.,,,,,

genlynne2379: I read the other review of this book and I must say that I disagree with it wholeheartedly. I do not believe the author put the apostrophes in the names just to be unique, but because the characters are supposedly of a different race than humans. They are Anmah. They should have different names a...
