The Price of Making it Big…
Death Ever After just filled their first Colosseum, and the crowd roared with each and every song. It was Nickel’s idea to have Addison come out and play the last three songs with them since she had been making a name of her own. Men whistled and howled as she came out in her torn jean shorts that hugged her ass, t-shirt, high top converse, and of course her straw cowboy hat and aviator glasses.
She had dyed her hair black, and it hung down her back in a ponytail, and as Jimmy sang, he couldn’t keep his eyes off of her as she played the guitar. She and Jones got into a dueling guitar fight, and the crowd went wild… and his baby girl kicked Jones ass!
When the concert was over, Nickels came over introducing some people who had won exclusive backstage passes to him and the guys, but skipped over Addison. She smiled at Jimmy rubbing his arm as she made her way through the hoards of screaming woman. But as soon as she was free, a couple of guys from the crowd began to follow her.
He watched as they stopped her asking for an autograph and the shocked expression on her face from it. This was what he had wanted, he had made Nickels include Addison as a special guest on tours, and she was getting her own fan base… of males!
This was something Jimmy thought he wanted, Addison to become famous, to let the world see how amazing she was with the guitar, but now he was second-guessing that thought. He watched as these guys got her laughing, having her take off her sunglasses, showing those asssholes her beautiful eyes. She was smiling and talking with them while signing autographs. When it was all done, she looked up at him and smiled before walking off.
Jones, Howie, and Dax were still having the women giggling and pawning over them, he pushed his way through going to go talk to Addison when Nickels stopped him. “Dude, what the hell are you doing?”
“I’m going to go talk to Addie.” He shrugged.
“No your not. We’ve got a group of fans that are here to see you.” Nickels growled.
He glanced back over his shoulder and saw the guys eating the attention up. “Everyone looks happy to me, Nick.” He offered.
“Look, Jim, we’re now starting to make it big. Don’t go screwing this shit up because you need to go talk to Addie. First impressions matter in this business!”
He looked down the long hallway, and then back at the crowd that was staring at him. “Fine, but make sure Addie is at the after-party Nickels, or I swear to god, I’m leaving!”
“Yeah, okay, I can do that.”
“Good.” He growled going back over to all the women that were pulling up their shirts so the guys could sign… whatever they wanted.
Three hours later, the after-party was going on, and he had been talking to a bunch of people wondering where the hell his wife was. He left the group and went over, pulling Nick from a group. “Wheres Addie?” He asked.
“I don’t know, maybe they aren’t coming?” Nickels answered.
“Son of a bitch… don’t piss me off, man. I’m not in the mood.”
“Relax, look over there…” Nickels said, pointing off in the distance.
He looked up and saw not only Addison, but the rest of the girls talking with some big guy, and a short little woman. “Who are they talking to?”
“The guy is Billy Dewan and his wife, Sam. I think they’re trying to get our girls to sign up with their label.” Nickels snapped. “What an asshole. He knows that they’re our girlfriends, and we’re trying to start our own fucking label!”
But as he listened to Nickels bitch over this guy Billy, he watched some big Hollywood superstar go and stand next to his baby girl. He, himself, had some models around him asking for some personal alone time, but seeing his baby girl standing in black leather pants that looked like they had been painted on her, tank top, and some strappy heels… his ass started to make his way over where they were and let this asshole know that she was fucking taken!
“Addie.” He said glaring at the guy who had handed her a drink.
“Oh, hey, baby.” She smiled, telling him that she was clueless about what this fuckwit was up to.
“Hey, baby girl… who’s this?” He asked, coming next to her, wrapping his arm around her waist.
“Oh, this is Tom. He was just telling me that he thinks I should be in his next movie.” She grinned, okay so she knew. “Tom, this is my husband, Jimmy.” She introduced.
“Hey, nice to meet you,” Tom answered.
“Yeah, sure.” He said.
“Hey, Lynn wants to talk to me… I’ll be back in a minute.” She smiled running off.
And when Addison was far enough away… “Stay the fuck away from my wife, got it?” He growled.
“I wasn’t doing anything but talking to her,” Tom growled back.
“Yeah, well, don’t!” He snarled, turning around and going to get his girl.
He walked over to where the girls were at. “Oh, hey, baby. I want you to meet Billy and Sam…” She started.
“Nice to meet you.” He said, taking her by the waist pulling her away from the crowd, then right out of the room. They started to walk down the corridor where there was only the janitors sweeping up and a couple stage people starting to break down the equipment.
“Jimmy, where are we going?” She asked, glancing around, but he didn’t answer. Instead, he found a place where he could talk to her without so many fucking ears about. When he saw a utility room, he checked to see if it was open and when it was, he pulled her in and locked the door behind him. “What is going on with you?” She asked, looking around the small closet-like room.
“I don’t like all these guys talking to you.” He growled.
Her mouth dropped, and then she crossed her arms. “What the hell are you talking about.”
“You have all these assholes all over you, and I don’t like it!”
“You’ve got to be kidding me? You’re signing women’s bras, and you’re pulling me out of the room because some guys are talking to me… really?”
“That’s just for the image, it doesn’t mean anything.” He stated.
“Well you don’t see me going over where you are and get all bitchy because of what you’re doing, do you?” She hissed. “Damn it, Jimmy, this is what you wanted, this is what you wanted me to get in to. I’ve got this guy Billy who wants to promote the girls and me, I’ve got Playboy asking me for a photoshoot… isn’t this what you wanted?!?”
His hand ran through his hair, wanting to rail, but couldn’t. “Yes, I thought this was what I wanted for you, but I don’t like it! I know what all those guys think when they look at you baby girl… and you’re too good for that!”
“Just because their looking doesn’t mean I’m thinking about taking up an offer.” She said, shaking her head. “And what about you? You’ve got all these models all over you, do you want me to go up to you and throw a hissy fit … believe me, women know when another woman is trying to pick up on her man. I’m not stupid, Jimmy!”
He shook his head not being able to dispute what she was saying, then reached out and pulled her into his arms taking over that mouth of her with his. She was right, she was always right, but he needed to know that she did love him, and none of these other assholes would ever have a chance with her.
He picked her up, pushing her against the door. He unbuttoned her pants, pushing them down enough only to flip her around and pull her hips out, giving him a glance at what he wanted, before unbuttoning his pants and thrusting inside her. Their lovemaking was fast, hard, and hungry. His body engulfed hers as he wanted her to feel just how much he needed her. His arm reached around, turning her head so he could do to her mouth what he was doing to her body.
Only when her breath hitched, and body tightened, did he let his own need take over as she squeezed down on him. When he was done, they both stood there, panting at his urgency to possess her. “Addie, do you love what you’re doing? I mean, with the music.” He whispered in her ear.
And with those words, he knew how she really felt. “What would you think about going back to school to be a doctor?”
“I can’t, I have commitments now. I’ve said yes to Playboy, and me and the girls are touring with you guys all this year.” She sighed.
“It doesn’t matter. We’ll find a way to make this work baby girl. I promised you that if we made it big, I’d let you go to any school you wanted. This is me keeping my promise.” He said, kissing her cheek.
He pulled out, getting himself straightened up, and then helping his woman. “Do you mean it, I mean really. I do think me and the girls could have a career with the music business.” She said, looking at the ground, but not at him.
“Baby girl…” He groaned, pulling her back into his arms. “Do you want music to be your career or not?”
“No, not really.” She admitted.
“Then talk with the girls and see what they have to say.” He told her but then sighed. “All I ever wanted was you with me, Addison. You make me a better man, and the last thing I want to so is take away what you really want when you always give me everything.”
“But the touring…” She whispered.
“Baby when you got the money you can make things work.” He chuckled.
“I want to become a doctor on my own terms, no cheating, or using your influence of who you are to get me into a spot… just me Jimmy.”
“I knew you wouldn’t want it any other way.” He grinned, opening up the door seeing a couple people that had gathered around when they had walked out. “You got a problem?” He asked the ogglers around them, making her laugh.
They walked back to the party his arm draped around her shoulder, and her arm around his waist feeling like themselves again. “You know Nickels is going to be pissed if I go back to school. I think he sees the girls and me as a money-making machine.” She told him.
“Yeah, well Nickels can kiss my ass.” He winked. "Now let's get our ass back in there baby girl to go and face the mob."
