I laughed and twirled and twirled under the tree as Xavier spined me whilst humming the theme song of Beauty and The Beast. We’d left the party that Matt, Hunt, Connor and Scott had thrown at the beach for Xavier since he would be leaving for New York the next day. We were now in the park, just the two of us and having some us-time. The moon was brightly up in the sky. The night breeze was cool and comforting. It was a beautiful night, yet saddening.
Twirling and twirling on and on, I ended up in his arms, laughing. He threw his arms across my back, wrapping me up tight and he kissed me deeply. I wound my arms around his neck and kissed back.
Pulling back after a while, he kissed my left cheek and rested his forehead against mine, his deep brown eyes staring into mine.
“If I could stop time,” he said softly, gently cupping my face in his hands, “I’d stop it right here.”
Tightening my arms around his neck, I nodded and whispered back over his lips. “I think I’d like that.”
He leaned in even closer and kissed my forehead. “I love you so much, Alana. I really wish I don’t have to leave. I’m already missing you like . . . Like I’m dying.”
“It’s not going to be easy, I know,” I replied, “But we’ll make it.”
He nodded in response.
“Do you think you’ll like your new school?” I asked, looking up to him with an encouraging smile.
He shrugged without a care, “I don’t know. The infrastructure was okay but not as homely as Greenwood so I don’t really care.” And then he laughed. “I’m comparing everything to Carlos.”
“You do.” I chuckled in return. “I think we should go now.” I held his wrist and checked the time on his wristwatch. It was 9:50 at night then.
We walked back home, hand in hand. Neither of us spoke; just being in the moment and happy at the quiet fact that at least for tonight, we had each other close. Tomorrow wouldn’t be easy but today was a gift we didn’t want to spend thinking and fretting over what happens tomorrow and what happens after. We wanted to live what we had now to the best.
Dad answered the door and these days, Xavier had been getting special allowance to stay in my room for some more time after he drop me home – mostly on the weekends since he’d be leaving – so he followed me up to my room.
Once we entered my room, he raced ahead and threw himself down on my bed like he belonged there; his Kingdom or something. He stretched out his long body with a wide grin and groaned in contentment.
“You know what, Mongrel. This is the best place in the world,” he said, looking around the room with the biggest smile ever, “It’s full of you-stuffs.”
“Me-stuffs?” I raised my eyebrows in amusement as I walked up to him.
“Uh huh. You-stuffs.” He grinned as he comfortably rolled over on his front, snuggling up to my pillows. “And this bed,” he mumbled, “the best thing in the world. It smells so much like you and I fucking love it.”
I chuckled and went over to sit on the edge of the bed, untying my shoelaces.
He rolled over, pulled off his jacket, kicked off his shoes and supporting his weight on his elbows, he watched me without a word, looking sexy in a navy blue V-neck T-shirt and a mop of disheveled hair. I looked over my shoulder and smiled at him.
“Planning to get a haircut soon?” I asked.
“Yeah. But I forgot to ask Scott,” he said, running a hand through his hair. “Is it starting to look funny?”
“Not bad,” I smiled at him.
“Great. As long as you think I look hot,” he winked and I laughed.
He continued watching me without a word and when I’d finally pull off my shoes, he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me up to him. I laughed as he pulled us down so that we were tangled up in bed. He pressed his lips onto my cheek so very deeply and threw a leg over me, keeping me firm in his hold.
“I can’t breathe!” I laughed.
He chuckled back and loosened up his hug a bit. Just a little bit.
Snuggling up to me and nuzzling his face into my neck, he whispered, “I wanna spend the night with you.”
I shifted my face slightly towards him and met his gaze. His eyes were wistfully looking onto me in all gentleness.
We knew that wasn’t possible.
Gently caressing my face, he kissed my cheek again and said, “I really wanna be with you tonight. I wish I could.”
I gave him a sad smile and nodded. “I wish.”
“Come with me to New York,” he said out of nowhere.
He’d never said that before. I knew he wasn’t serious since both of us knew that wasn’t possible yet he said it. He really didn’t want to stay away from me. I looked over at him and met his eyes. The wild glimmer in them seemed as though a great storm was brewing within him.
He groaned loudly and then laughing softly as he buried his face further into my neck, he said, “Let’s get married, Alana. Run away with me. Let’s fly away to Neverland.”
I smiled back and nodded in jest. “Why not? I’d gladly run away with you anywhere.”
He slowly pulled back, leaving soft kisses on my neck and looked into my eyes. For a moment, he stared at my face and suddenly moved up on top of me. Slipping one hand under my shirt, he held me firm on my side and kissed me furiously and passionately. I hooked my legs around his waist and kissed back. My fingers knotted into his hair on their own like they belonged there and pulling him closer to me with all my might, we kissed in all passion and desire.
The low rumble of his soft moans and grunts trembled in my throat and I gasped out in all heat and need. The smell of his Cologne lingered in the little air between us, driving me crazy, and I wished I could just stay this way with him forever, in our very own bubble.
Starting to pant in breathlessness and all, his lips travelled down to the hollow on the base of my neck and I gasped when he kissed and sucked in my skin hard in between his lips. His hand had just came around, tracing the bottom line of my bra when suddenly there were three knocks on the door.
My heart jumped to my throat and all the passion with which we were making out went right out through the window. As reflex had it, Xavier immediately pulled back – wide eyed – rolled off of me and positioned himself on the edge of the bed in a very innocent-like sitting position. He quickly went through his hair and adjusted what I’d messed up with it with all the pulling and gripping. I sat up too.
“Alana?” Dad called.
“Yeah.” My voice shook a bit.
The door cracked open and dad stared at us with a weird look for a split second before he cleated his throat and spoke.
“I think it’s late enough now, the two of you.”
“Uh . . . Yeah. Sure. I was just leaving,” Xavier nodded and swallowed nervously.
“Good,” dad replied. “Don’t be long now.”
We nodded willingly in return.
Dad left us again and Xavier turned back to me with a wide, amused grin. “That was close.”
I laughed, now recalling how funny it had been. The way he rolled off of me and did everything seemed like going fast forward while watching a movie.
“I’m not yet over with you though,” he chuckled and came back at me.
We made out again, laughing and teasing me with ticklish kisses. Not even half a minute had passed when soon the amusement soon picked up heat. He moved up and pulled me up along with him so that I was sitting on his lap and straddling him. He pulled off my shirt. I pulled off his shirt. And we made out like it would be our last.
Panting against my chest, his arms tightened around my waist, hugging me closer to him whilst tracing slow and sweet kisses all over the swell of my breast. I hugged back his head and kissed him at the top of his head.
“Alana . . . Oh God!” he sighed ruefully and kissed up my neck, his warm tongue tasting my skin all along.
I made him look up at me and said. “I have something for you.”
Laboring with his breaths, he lightly raised his eyebrows in question.
I smiled, kissed him and got down from the bed. Wearing back my shirt, I walked over to my dresser and opened the first drawer where I’d kept my present for him. I picked it out and stared at it for a moment, chewing on my lips and wondering how I should give it to him. He always had everything he ever wanted, I just hope he’d like it. I wasn’t a billionaire like him who could buy diamonds but I’d done this from the bottom of my heart.
I’ve actually been saving up money for about two months for this.
When I walked back to him, he’d wore his shirt too. He was looking at me curiously with a soft smile on his lips as sat down beside him.
I took out the long silver chain from its case and handed it to him. With a wide grin, he took it from my hand without any hesitation and checked it over. It had a small circular plate which was engraved with our initials entangled. I had specially ordered for this.
“I guess this has a meaning?” He tactfully asked with an ever-present smile.
“Umm,” I smiled, overcoming with embarrassment, “It means . . . Whatever happens, my love for you will never end like this circle. I’ll always love you, Xavier.” I bit down on my bottom lip and laughed out nervously. I was beyond embarrassed and I could swear my face probably looked like a heated iron. He wore it around his neck and smiled happily.
“This is the best gift ever. I love it. I’ll wear it all the time.” He kissed the silver plate and put it inside his T-shirt.
I nodded. “I’m glad you like it.”
Leaning in to me, he stared straight into my eyes immovably for long. I stared back. He didn’t even say anything. He just kept staring at me theatrically like he was head over heels for me.
“Why are you staring at me like that?!” I laughed again, blushing.
He laughed too and tipped my nose. “You’re so adorable. Especially when you blush. And I enjoy making you blush.”
“You’re so bad,” I shoved him at his chest and he fell back on my bed, laughing.
