Haverly-DeLuca

Aurora Elise Haverly and Paul C. DeLuca were united in marriage on May 15, 2006, at two o’clock in the afternoon at Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The ceremony was officiated by Father David O’Conner. Music for the ceremony was provided by soloist Lionel Pierce, who sang Ave Maria during the bridesmaids’ processional. The bride processed to Pachelbel’s Canon in D. Ceremony readings were provided by the bride’s aunt, Sophia Devanoy, and the groom’s aunt, Sally Henley. The bride’s mother hosted a seated dinner and reception at The Garden.

The bride is the daughter of [the late] Thomas and Isadora Haverly of Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Albach of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Haverly III of Indianapolis, Indiana. The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. David DeLuca of Cranberry, Pennsylvania. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Stein of Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania, and Dr. and Mrs. Roman DeLuca of Upper Saint Clair Pennsylvania.

Given away by her late father’s eldest brother, Robert Haverly V, the bride wore a fluted gown of ivory satin with a bodice of pearls and Swarovski crystals. The gown had a sweetheart neckline and draped empire waist created by couture designer Finn Marie Tajas of Coulter’s Bridal Salon. The bride carried a teardrop bouquet of Easter lilies, clematis, and stephanotis vines.

Miss Selina Deitson of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, served as the Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included cousins of the bride, Miss Caroline Albach of San Antonio, Texas, Mrs. Olivia Haverly of New Orleans, Louisiana, and friend of the bride Miss Jillian Ewing of Wilmington, North Carolina. Miss Ellyn DeLuca, sister of the groom, was the flower girl. The Maid of Honor and bridesmaids wore floor-length gowns of navy blue chiffon. Each carried a bouquet of pale pink and ivory hellebores, sweet peas, and ranunculus, bound by ivory satin ribbons.

Mr. Peter Spinalla of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, served as the Best Man. Groomsmen included Mr. Davis Borawski of Altoona, Pennsylvania, Mr. William Marks of Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania, and Mr. Lee Kochanek of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The bride graduated summa cum laude from Seton Hill College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She is currently working as a writer for the Pittsburgh-based American Faces magazine. The groom graduated from The University of Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Katz School of Business with a Masters in Business Administration. He is currently a partner at Clark, Keller & DeLuca, located in Pittsburgh.

Following a honeymoon travelling Europe the bride and groom will reside in Upper Saint Clair, Pennsylvania.
