It had been a week so far and we hadn’t heard anything from Roman, but that didn’t mean we were taking any chances with Bailey’s safety or ours either. This meant that Jeremey had put more security around the club house and made sure that whenever one of the members went out it was either in a group or a pair, we weren’t taking any chances with safety.
I looked up and to see who called my name and it was the newbie Spike.
“Yeah, what do you want?” I asked him once he came into the garage.
“Prez is looking for you. He said to find you straight away and to tell you to go to his office as a package had come.”
“Alright.” And with that I left and headed to Prez’s office. When I walked in, I noticed Bailey and Kate were in there also. Kate was sitting with Jeremey at his desk and Bailey was on one of the chairs in front of his desk. I walked up to Bailey and gave her kiss on her cheek and sat down on the arm chair of her chair.
“What’s this about Prez?” I asked him confused as to why we were here.
“This package came for Bailey this afternoon. I gave it to her but she didn’t know who it could have been from as she hasn’t told anyone where she is. She felt more comfortable opening it in here with us.” He explained as he referred to the medium sized brown box that sat in front of him on his desk.
“Can we please open the box now?” Bailey asked.
Jeremey stood up nodding his head as he grabbed a box cutter from his desk and stated to cut the tape. He put down the cutter and started to pull up the boxes flaps open.
“Fuck!!” Jeremey said it so loud, I think it scared Bailey a little as I felt her flinch next to me.
“What?” I asked confused as to why he swore.
“That rat bastard. I’m gonna fucking kill him.” I was still confused until I myself looked in the box.
Inside the box was a whip and some photos. Picking up the whip first I noticed that it had blood all over it. I looked up at Bailey who eyes had zeroed in on the whip in my hands. She immediately put her arms around herself. I first noticed her chest start rising quickly then the sound of her laboured breaths. I quickly reckoned the signs of a panic attack coming on.
I dropped the whip and let it fall to the floor as quickly put my arms around her and lifted her onto my lap, silently letting her know that I was here.
“It’s okay. I’m right here, you’re okay. Just breathe.” I kept whispering this into her hair while rocking her back and forth.
I had no idea how much time had passed as I held Bailey in my arms, until she squeezed my arm gently and told me that she was okay now. I stared at her tear stained face and then looked into her light blue eyes trying to get a read on what she was feeling because I knew she wouldn’t tell me straight away.
