Eternal Love
A tall, male figure stood on the porch of an abandoned cabin in the woods, smoking a cigaret. The male had pale white skin with jet black hair. He wore an all black outfit of dress shirt, tie pants, shoes, and a long black trench coat that went to his ankles.
"You know, we have got to get a new meeting place." the figure said, he knew it was female.
The Man in Black smiled cockily, "I thought you liked meeting here?" he asked in a sarcastic tone. The female had Hershey chocolate colored skin with black hair that reached her mid back. She wore a white dress that was similar to a wedding dress. The Man in Black flicked his cigaret into the distance and turned to the Woman in White "So, what did you want to talk to me about?" he asked.
"Your work ethic." she responded
He rolled his eyes "Here we go."
"Listen! You are not very well liked in the offices. If you just do what other reapers did and politely take out the guilty, then we wouldn't be having these conversations." the Woman in White said.
The Man in Black ruffled his hair in frustration "Listen, I am not like the other reapers. I lack the death touch, which I have yet to get an answer as to why."
"But do you have to be so cruel?" she said "My word, you act like an 80's slasher villain, just slice up the guilty ones in the most brutal ways possible." she added.
"They deserve it, what else could I do?" he asked rhetorically.
She sighed in frustration "Why am I even try to talk to you? All you do is blame humanity and say they deserve to die." she fell silent and walked to the living room couch and flopped down. The Man in Black groaned and followed, he stared at her as she glared back, "If you would just forgive the humans for what happened." she pleaded.
The Man in Black spoke "How can I forgive them? I did nothing to them and what happened? I got murdered! Badly." he finished.
The Woman in White stood "Joseph, you have to learn to let things go, that was 127 years ago. You are 159, grow up!" she snapped.
"Says you, I bet you were angry when Mr. Land Owner whipped you to death. Ava." he responded, "I bet you were angry at the world after what happened to you. But instead of taking your anger out, you help the pathetic pudding brains." he finished.
She glared at him, and stood in anger "How dare you insult humans like that. You were once one, I was once one, and even the whole office was once human. Just because you have a hundred year grudge, doesn't mean you can compare yourself to me. I may have died cruelly, but I made piece. What have you done?"
"My job."
That was it for her. The Woman in White smacked the Man in Black across the face, and then kissed him. The kiss lasted a minute when The Man in Black pulled away in shock "The hell was that for!?" The Woman in White looked down, as if in shame "I seriously don't know what happened. What the hell Ava?"
The Woman in White took a step back "I'm sorry Joseph... I don't know what came over me." The Man in Black gently grabbed her chin "Stop apologizing." and kissed her. This time the kiss later five minutes. The Woman in White was blown away by this. Someone she thought was emotionless, cold, and only cared about himself and death was kissing her with deep passion.
When the pulled away The Man in Black sighed "Sorry Ava. We can't happen. We are polar opposites."
"Is it my skin color? Joseph that was over 200 years ago, we won't be looked down upon." She reassured.
"It ain't your skin." she turned away "You give life and I take life away." he began to walk out of the cabin "You need someone who isn't so dark."
The Woman in White snapped "Joseph Alexander Silverstar! You get your ass back here right now!" he turned back to her like a child in trouble "You have been doing this for 127 years. You push others away and isolate yourself, and when someone tries to get close you run away. You have been alone for a long time Joseph, you have been hurting for a very long time, and it's time you let someone comfort you and let you know its ok. You need someone." The Woman in White yelled.
The Man in Black didn't know what to say. He was in shock at what happened, the embodiment of life and light had just yelled at him about being alone. He was the taker of life and the bringer of darkness, he could be alone all he wants, but why was what she said stung him? His old heart began to ache, "Ava... what made you bring this up all of a sudden?" he asked her.
She took a deep breath and exhaled "Because I see how you act." he gave a confused look as she began to explain "You are always so mean, and cold when around others but whenever I see you alone you just seem so... alone. Hollow, like you are incomplete. I know what happened to you left you angry but you just seem to be empty and are taking it out on others." she finished.
"You are talking nonsense."
"But there is one person you aren't cold around." she began.
"Who?" he asked.
"Me. You seem to be less... angry when I am around." he rolled his eyes "and I must admit I have certain... feelings for you." she continued.
He gave a chuckle "You mean disgust? Mary and Pete say pretty bad things about me."
The Woman in White inhaled and continued "Mother Mary and St. Peter have not seen the real you Joseph, but I have, and I have grown strong feelings towards you."
"Hate?"
The Woman in White could not hold it anymore, how could one of such age be so dense? "I like you! You dumbass! How could you be so dense? I kissed you and you kissed me. I would like to take you to the cabin bedroom and ride you like a horse!" she saw his shocked expression "I want to know if you feel the same way." she asked him. He sighed "Kid... I do, but I think we won't work together."
"Joseph." The Woman in White said like a stern parent "Opposites attract. Ever heard of Yin and Yang?" she moved closer to him and gently grabbed his tie "You are the Yang to my Yin. You keep me balanced." she stared at his tie "Why do you dress so nice?"
"So... does this mean we're going out?" he asked her.
"I think it does." she said confidently, "Will you promise to be more open?" instead of answering with words, he kissed her passionately "Does that answer you?"
