Chapter 22: There's this girl...

I’d been back at work again for 2 weeks and back in the swing of things.

Noah had been watching me like a hawk.

Today we had to go over the plans for the London office and sign off on the interior designs.

Sitting in his office, we were going over the blueprints and some images the interior designer had sent over.

There was some really far out ones which looked cool but just weren’t practical. Others were really elegant and well designed.

I was focused, he most definitely wasn’t.
He instead, was playing with a strand of my hair.

It was very distracting.

I gave a sideways glance and his eyes were trained on me.

There’s those damn butterflies again!

“Are you going to help with these?” I asked quietly. I couldn’t trust my voice right now.

“Nope.”

“Why not?”

“I’m having too much fun.”

Shaking my head at his silliness, I tried to continue to work but he kept going.

He started trailing his fingers against my face and a blush instantly came up.

“There it is.” he chuckled.

I full on glared at him now.

His eyes lit up in amusement.

“You think you look scary right now but its just adorable.”

I still hadn’t told him that I heard everything in the hospital and I didn’t know when or if I should.

I’ll keep him in suspense for now.

He pulled me towards him and used my weakness.

Trailing his thumb over my bottom lip, he got closer.

It turned me to jelly every time.

He placed his lips on mine and started off slow.

As I raised my hands to his hair and pulled a little, he let out a low growl and went for it.

He put me on the desk and pushed his hands in my hair to hold me in place.

Like I was even contemplating leaving!

He moved from my lips to my neck and kept going.

Just as we were getting heated, the phone rang.

Truth is, I’d never gone as far as bedding a guy. I’d had boyfriends growing up but never any that were worthy of it.

I’d always just focused on school and helping with paying the bills.

No one ever made me feel like Noah.

And it scared the hell out of me.

NOAH’S POV

After the phone call, we actually did focus on work.

Although I’d much rather spend my time kissing Blake.

I’d not felt like this since.... I don’t think even then.

It’s different with Blake. I’d known her for just over 3 months and I could feel myself falling.

I’m such a pussy.

What on earth is happening to me?

A knock on the door of my home office brought me out of my moment.

Tristan walked in.

“Hey, what’s up?”

“I need your help.” he looked nervous.

“Sure, what is it?”

“There’s this girl.....”

“Okay?”

“I like her. Like really like her but whenever I try to talk to her, I just sound like an idiot.”

I motioned for him to sit down and then gave him a pep talk. Once I was done, he went off and I didn’t see him until later that evening.

He came running into the house, excited.

“It worked! Thank you, Noah!”

I patted him on the back and addressed the funny look Blake was giving me.

“He asked for some advice earlier about a girl.”

“And the advice worked by the looks of it. What did you say to him?”

“Now that would be telling! I can’t give my secrets away to everyone.”

She rolled her eyes and went back to what she was doing.

Now I just had to follow my own advice.
