Chapter 29: Claiming Her

We had somehow made our way into the bedroom below deck.

His lips left mine for a split second, only to move to my neck. He pushed my hair out the way so he could get more access.

His hands started making their way inside my shirt and my breathing became rapid.

“Tell me to stop.” he breathed against my neck. He knew I’d never done it.

Did I want him to stop?

Hell no!

I wanted him more than anything.

When I said nothing, he looked into my eyes.

He must have seen the determination in my eyes as he went back to pulling my shirt off.

I reached up to his tie and undid it while he continued to kiss me with a fierce passion.

Undoing his shirt buttons, I admired his abs. They truly were made by the gods.

My blush gave me away and he kissed my cheeks.

“Let’s make that blush last a while, shall we.” he spoke while lowering me onto the bed.

He started trailing kisses on my exposed stomach to the top of my skirt.

He slowly slipped it off along with my underwear and ran his fingers along the inside of my thigh.

He knew how to drive a woman crazy.

He lifted his body up and took his time sweeping his eyes across my body. He was right. My blush was on full force by now.

There was a fire in his eyes and it was everything.

I bit my lip as he trailed kisses along my thigh, before dipping his head down to my femininity.

New feelings erupted in me. They were indescribable.

He suddenly stopped and it left me frustrated.

Letting out a groan, he chuckled.

“You aren’t going to let go until I’m inside you.” he let out.

He ripped his trousers off and dropped his boxers.

I nearly lost my shit.

He noticed and kissed away the nerves.

He slipped a condom on and climbed on top of me.

Lifting my lower body up, he eased himself in.

The pain was intense for a while but again his kisses were numbing my mind.

The pain gave way to absolute bliss. He continued to thrust into me and soon we were in our own little world.

I held the sheets tightly in my hand as the fire in my body raged.

There was another feeling that I knew had been creeping up on me for sometime now since I met him.

And it scared me to death.

We lay tangled up together trying to get our breathing back to normal.

He kissed my shoulder and I sighed in content.

“Hey, what’s this?” he pointed to my back.

The scars.

In the heat of the moment, I had completely forgotten about them.

He lifted me so my back was facing him.

The healed over cuts from numerous objects greeted him.

Knives, broken bottles, his belt that had ripped into my skin when he slapped it across my back to name a few.

All reminders of my past.

“Courtesy of my mother’s killer.” I whispered.

I expected him to recoil and walk away in disgust but what he did surprised me.

He kissed them.

Every. Single. One.

I didn’t know I was crying until he brushed the tears away with his thumb and caressed my face.

“You’re so fucking strong, you know that?” his voice full of sincerity.

“It doesn’t feel like it.”

“Well you better believe it, Blake. You’ve been through so much, yet you still keep going for Tristan’s sake.”

How could someone have this much faith in me?

What a night!

It was more than I’d hoped.

I was so fucking whipped for Blake.

I don’t know when it happened or how but I was.

Tonight, I finally got to make her mine completely.

I was her first.

That brought an immense amount of satisfaction but all I could think while it was happening?

I want to be her last.

After we lay tangled in the sheets and each other, I noticed a scar on her shoulder.

When I turned her back towards me, I saw more.

So many. I can’t even imagine what she went through. It made me sick to think about that bastard doing this to her.

“Courtesy of my mother’s killer” she had whispered and then held her breath, waiting for me to say something.

I had no words so instead, I kissed them. All of them.

She was the strongest person I knew. I admired her.

She had started crying and it hurt to watch. She didn’t deserve this.

I held her while she cried.

She had fallen asleep not long after and I had slipped out of the bed for a minute.

I had a glass of scotch in my hand and I called Jamieson.

“Any news on Carter?” I had to keep my voice down.

“Yeah. He has been having some correspondence with a burner phone quite often recently. I’m trying to find a way to find out who it is but it will take some time.”

“Ok. Thanks.”

“No problem. Hey, where are you? You bailed on poker night.”

“I’m on the yacht.”

“No. I will be at the next poker night.”

“Who is it? Blonde? Brunette? Stripper?” he rattled on.

“No! If you must know its Blake. You know I don’t take anyone else on here.”

“Blake as in assistant, Blake? Since when did that happen?”

“We’ve only been together a few weeks. Chill out.”

“Okaaaay. I’ll call you if anything changes.”

He hung up.

I thought about everything. This all happened like a whirlwind.

From her working for me to her and Tris moving in. Having that extra responsibility. It was crazy but as I thought about it, I realized I wouldn’t change any of it.

The decision I made that day at the hospital was the best damn thing I ever did.

I down the last of my scotch and went back to the room.

She was still spark out. Her hair falling all over the place.

Slipping in quietly next to her, I held her close and instantly fell asleep.
