Chapter 18

Where were those two? I had been looking through the house for them with no results.

As I reached the kitchen I could hear laughter. I walked around the corner and stopped dead in my tracks.

Raven was sprawled out on the floor. Sky trying and failing miserably to help her up.

Sky tried once more, again failing but this time she ended up on the floor.

They were both laughing uncontrollably. I rushed over and helped Raven up and pulled Sky into my arms.

“Are you okay?” I asked noticing something wasn’t right.

“You smell good.” She said rubbing her nose against my neck making me shiver.

“I want to smell too.” Raven said giggling.

What was happening here?

“Can Raven smell you?” Sky asked looking up at me.

Her eyes were glassy and dropping.

“Are you guys high?” I asked looking over at them.

“I have never done drugs in my life.” Sky said sounding offended.

“Say no to drugs.” Raven said shooting her hand in the air.

“Did you eat one of these?” I asked grabbing a brownie from the basket on the table.

“We ate a lot of those.” Raven said reaching over and grabbing another one.

I snatched it from her hand quickly turning to look at them both.

“How many did you eat?” I asked feeling sick.

How the hell did I let my girlfriend who doesn’t do drugs get high without knowing?

“Two,” They both said making sure to show me on their fingers.

Okay so two wasn’t so bad. Of course, I didn’t know for sure since I had never tried one.

I needed to find out for sure.

I sent a text getting a response quickly.

They will be fine, but they will be high for a while.

I was happy to know that they would be okay.

“You know what would be fun.” I said thinking quick on my feet.

“How about I order some pizza’s and we watch movies?”

I needed to be able to keep an eye on both of them.

“Good idea,” Sky said her phone in her hand.

I watched her phone light up and she smiled big. Raven’s phone rang her ring tone filling the room.

“Hello,” She answered.

“Sky is something wrong with you?” Raven said waving her phone in the air.

“Who me?” Sky asked looking confused.

I knew who was on the other end and I knew who had just text Sky.

Raven went on and on about how she wasn’t drunk, and neither was Sky.

“He’s standing right here.” She said pointing her finger at me.

“Trevor wants to talk to you.” Raven said handing me the phone.

I took the phone and walked away from the girls knowing that this call was not going to go well.

“Before you say anything let me explain.” I said my head suddenly pounding.

“The girls ate some weed brownies that a friend sent me as a gift. They ate a few not knowing what they were.”

“So, your telling me that they are high right now.” Trevor said laughing hard.

That reaction was not what I was expecting.

“You are in so much shit. Good luck telling Sky.”

He was so right. She was going to be pissed. I couldn’t believe what I was about to ask him. But I needed him, and I knew it.

“I have a proposition for you.” I said talking a breath.

“I fly you over here on my private jet. You stay a few days and come to my party all on me. But most importantly you get to see Sky. In exchange you help me figure a way to tell them without them killing me.”

“Raven will be the easy one. Sky is the one you need to worry about.” He laughed.

“You do know that I’m going to take every second I have to steal her from you right?” He said matter of factly.

I did know. I just had trust that Sky wasn’t going to take the bait.

“I do,” I replied.

“Sold,” He said with a laugh.

“Wheels up in 20. Texting you the information now.”

“Tell Sky I’ll see her soon.” He said ending the call.

“Have you ever been in love before?” Sky asked me taking me by surprise.

I thought I knew what love was until I met her. She took my breath away every time I saw her.

“Yes,” I answered her truthfully.

“With who? And should I be jealous?”

“With you,” I thought to myself.

The doorbell rang, and she jumped off the coach.

“Pizza,” they chanted all the way to the door.

Trevor would be here in a few hours and this was going to get interesting.

I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t worried about how she was going to react to Trevor being here.

I knew that she was affected by him. They had known each other most of their lives.

“Rock, Paper, Scissors.” They sang waving their hands around.

“What are you guys doing?” I asked looking between them.

“Playing to see who pays?” Raven said like I should know.

“I got it,” I said handing the girl the money.

“You will never spend another penny when you’re here with me.” I said with a grin.

“He has that effect on girls.” Sky said to the delivery girl who was beat red at having been caught staring.

“Don’t blame him though. He can’t help he was born gorgeous.”

“It’s not your fault.” Raven said patting me on the back.

“Thank you Raven,” I said trying not to laugh.

“I love it when you call me gorgeous.” I said teasing her.

“It’s no secret your nice to look at.” She said closing the door behind the delivery girl.

“Well then I guess it’s a good thing you get to see me anytime you want.” I teased.

“Yes, it is.”

“Shut up Sky.” She said to herself.

“Something is not right. I’m thinking slow. My brain is foggy. And I can’t seem to keep my mouth shut.” She said leaving me standing there feeling guilty for not telling her what was wrong.

Both Sky and Raven were both knocked out on the couch asleep. I left a note for Sky incase she woke up telling her I would be right back.

I grabbed my keys and wallet and headed to the airport to get Stephen. I wanted to talk about all this before he stepped foot in my house.

I was surprised when Jason got off the plane behind him. They made their way to the car Trevor getting into the front seat.

“I hope you don’t mind I brought Jason along. Three heads are better than two.” Trevor said with a grin.

“Of course not.” I replied.

“Any ideas” I asked hopeful glad to have one more person to help me out of this mess.

“I’ve been thinking about it the whole trip over here and I say we don’t tell her.” Jason said serious.

“There is no way she’s going to not be mad about this and we all know it.”

“She knows something is wrong with her, but she doesn’t know what. I can’t keep this from her.” I said adamant.

“Okay plan B it is. Does the package say what it is on the front?” He asked so far being more helpful than Trevor.

“I’m sure it does.” I responded.

“Then we play that card. It clearly says what it is how can she blame you for not reading it.” Jason said giving us another option.

“It’s all about wording. You blame her without making it obvious of what your doing. Between the three of us maybe we can make this work.” Jason said with an amused laugh.

“You better pray hard that it works. Sky can hold a grudge forever. Just ask Jason. She ignored him for a month once and then left her whole Sophomore year just to not see him.” Trevor said with a chuckle.

“That tiny thing can be mean as hell. Do not piss her off.” Jason laughed.

They clearly knew her way better than I did. I couldn’t compete with that.

“Thank you for agreeing to help me.” I said knowing that this had been a clever idea.

“I’m happy to help with anything involving Sky.” Trevor said with smirk.

I knew that Trevor was going to do just like he said and try to steal Sky from me. But I also knew that he would keep his word and help me, and I also knew he wouldn’t take things with Sky too far. Regardless of his intentions both Jason and Trevor were honorable men.

“This is not your house,” Jason said mouth open.

“I knew you had money, but I didn’t know it was like this. Although I should have considering you sent a plane for us.” He said with a chuckle.

I was hoping Sky and Raven were awake I wanted to get this talk over with. We found the girls laughing about who knows what right where I had left them.

“Look who’s here,” I said both girls turning to look at me.
