Chapter One

The crowd was cheering loud as the final note of the song played. They clapped and screamed as they tried to come closer to the stage.
"I love you Dio" called out one of the girls, He took a small bow and looked up sending a small wink in her direction before turning around. Singing was his life, and he was great at it. The concert came to an end and the brown haired male went backstage to clean up. Some of the girls from the crowd eventually came over to greet him, begging for photos and autographs. He signed their items and used his usual flirtatious lines on them. As soon as they left he let out a hefty sigh and furrowed his brows.

Matt was the opening to Dios performance, convinced by his manager to help out his 'friend'. Seeing as the two boys worked under the same company with managers who just so happened to be best friends. He walked over to Dio as if he was another fan with the newly released CD in one hand and a pen in the other.
"Oh Dio" he cooed "Please do sign this for me". Matt was a sarcastic kind of person. In comparison to the long haired boy he didn't care much about his fandom or his career. All he wanted was to travel around the world and to remain alone. The only other reason he kept his career was to rub his fandom in Dios face. The two of them never seemed to get along, they were polar opposites always destined to be apart. It was rare for Matt to ever participate in social events that concerned his career such as signings. In fact, right at this very moment just down the hall he was supposed to be attending to a signing for his own fans that came to watch him.

Dio rolled his eyes and snatched the CD from the dark haired male writing a message down on the cover. It read in black, messy writing

"Fuck you.
Go Die!
- Dio"

He shoved it back to Matt and sighed, he really didn't want to have to put up with this guy. If a person could have an annoying fly that followed them around for all of their life, that fly would be Matt. Matt sighed as he threw the CD over his shoulder.
"You can be so cruel" he leaned against a table and picked up a bottle of water that was meant for Dio. He took a large gulp of water before continuing "And uninteresting" He studied the bottle in his hand, placing it back on the table next to him. His head shot up quickly as if he had a great idea "I know! How about you go out and do my job for me" He looked at Dio with an innocent, forced smile as he signalled at the huge line forming at the other end of the Hall. Dio scoffed and turned towards the area that Matt had signalled to 'This guy doesn't care about his career or his future' he thought to himself. None of the girls down there knew the real Matt. They didn't know the real Dio either.
"I'm not doing your job for you, fucking fly" he said reaching down and picking up his bag that he'd brought with him sending the other male a smug look "There's a reason I'm the main act and you're just the opening"
"Because you need more publicity" he shrugged walking down the hall towards his fans "Did you not notice who had to stay back for a real signing" As he got closer to the end of the line he stood on top of a table and spread his arms. The crowd cheered loudly as he spoke "Good evening ladies and gentleman" he winked at the crowd before laughing lightly jumping off the table. He found a girl and pulled her closer to him "my, you really are cute~ I hope to see you at my upcoming concert" he smiled warmly at her and kissed her cheek before walking down the hall to the beginning of the line for his meet and greet.

Dio had already left by the time Matt attended his 'shift' to return the equipment he had borrowed from the company. No one knew Dios true feelings towards females yet, not even Matt. He was an expert at deceiving people and putting on a face just as Matt was, the difference was he did it for a reason and not because he was a straight up Dickhead. After returning the items to the office Dio stretched with a yawn. He didn't have his own car, usually he would call a taxi to come and get him, but the night breeze felt nice on his skin so he walked through the streets.

Matt finished his signing and walked out of the back door towards his car , unlike Dio he had his own equipment so instead of heading to the office he went to a bar that was close by to his and Dios houses. Upon arriving at the bar he entered through the back door into the VIP lounge to avoid any unwanted and unnecessary attention. There wasn't very many celebrities that knew about this place, which was a benefit to Matt. The only other person he had seen in here was Dio although he would attend as general admission instead of a VIP. From inside He liked to sit there and watch people who thought a girl or boy was in 'love' with them just to have that same person walk out with someone else. As he was watching yet another fight between men over a woman Matt took notice of a certain individual walking past. His glare was fixed on Dio who was standing just outside waiting on the lights to change. While standing there on his own he felt a strange feeling as if someone was following him, he started to look around and noticed no one taking any unnatural interest in him before suddenly making brief eye contact with Matt. Dio frowned and furrowed his eyebrows as Matt walked out of the door to the bar. He extended his middle finger to the black haired boy. 'What a slacker' Dio thought to himself. As Matt came closer to Dio his tone changed from his usual bored one "Walking again I see." He forced a sigh "and to think I thought you were actually getting famous"
"I prefer to walk. It's relaxing" Dio responded carelessly. Unlike Matt Dio hated to be alone. He enjoyed the company of others, even if it was bad company. "And I see you're rotting your life away at a bar. How brilliant"
"Spending some time alone." He responded with a shrug "it's good to get away from those annoying clingy people. Who do they think they are anyway? Demanding hugs and expecting that I'm going to remember them from a previous concert" He scoffed at the thought his fans. Dio rolled his eyes turning his back on the other male.
"Well you're wasting my time, and frankly being alone is better than being in your presence" he said as he ran his hand through his side pony tail. It was so soft and many people wished that they could touch it. Matt shrugged.
"I was leaving anyway" he walked away and got into his car. He wasn't drunk so he would still be able to drive. Dio released his hair and began to walk. The breeze now was colder than before, and the tank top that Dio was wearing wasn't helping to keep him any warmer.

Matt quickly drove past him, he quickly glanced towards the sky and noticed that it looked like it was about to rain. He laughed to himself as he sped up just a little sitting on a chair under his balcony waiting for Dio to walk by in the rain. Dio however was smart enough to always carry an umbrella around in his bag. The older male always looked so calm and flawless, did he even get pimples? He walked past Matt's house completely dry, other than the soles of his shoes. Matt was growing irritated at every action Dio pulled, he hated how everything could go so perfectly for that man. He walked inside and slammed the door behind him. He lay down on his sofa and started to flick through the channels trying to find something that could distract him. He sighed 'Why does the world have to be so boring?" he thought while looking up at the ceiling the TV now off. Matt loved to be alone. He had never wanted anyone, at least not in a very long time. No one was of interest to him. Everyone around him and everyone that he encountered irritated him and seemed like a nuisance, especially Dio. Since he met the long haired brunette he vowed to hate him and made him his competition. Matt sighed once again and wished that there was at least one person who could interest him enough for him to say he was in love. He laughed at the though No one like that existed and neither did love.

MelanyFrey: This story is just so realistic and so amazingly written that I felt I was a part of it.
