Chapter 34

"You guys, wow you didn't have to do this." I said, as I stepped out onto the back porch of my house. Between my mother, Coopers sister and Coopers fiance Alice. They had all given me such a nice baby shower. Everything was decorated in pinks and blues. I took a seat and the party started. Hunter and Cooper were both here and so were our boys. I loved having everyone around I cared about. We played some games and I opened a lot of beautiful gifts. I sat back and watched everyone enjoy themselves. Hunter was playing ball with all the kids. I watched as Cooper was very loving with Alice and it made me smile. Then Cooper looked over at me and he smiled at me. I smiled back at him. He got up and walked over to me.

"You really look beautiful sweetheart." He said.

"Thank you Coop." I said.

"You have always been beautiful when your carrying a baby." He said and kissed the top of my head. I just smiled. Later that evening, I sat in the living room watching Hunter carry in all the gifts and taking them into the baby's room. My due date was in a week and I couldn't wait to meet my new baby. I could very much tell I was getting closer to having this baby. I was always so tired. The boys however, were still full of energy. They were both running around the yard at full speed. They were making me more tired just watching them.

"Come on boys, it's starting to get dark!" I hollered out. Of course they both gave me their pouting faces. I just smiled at them and laid back down on the couch. The next thing I knew I was in his arms. I rapped my arms around his neck as he carried me back to our bedroom. Hunter laid me down in our bed and kissed my lips.

"Maybe one night you'll make it to our bed instead of the couch." He whispered to me. I just reached out and kissed his cheek. "I love you bubbles." I heard him say as I fell back asleep.

"Hunter, Hunter? Please, please wake up" I tried to say as a hard contraction hit me. I pulled myself to the side of the bed. "Hunter baby, please wake up." I said again. That's when I felt my water break. It's been a week and two days since my baby shower. I was just a little over due. "HUNTER!" I shouted out. I felt him jump. I was trying to breath, but the pain was hitting me hard.

"Baby?" I heard him say.

"It's time." I said. Hunter flew out of bed and grabbed his phone. He called my mother and she was on her way here to get the boys. Hunter was running around like a mad man. He was getting everything together to go to the hospital. I sat in the living room in my robe. Waiting for him to be ready. I watched him move around like the energizer bunny. I knew he was nervous and worried and just wanted to get us to the hospital. I tried to tell him everything was just fine and not to worry, but after what happened with Blair. It was pointless. My mother showed up just in time and Hunter and I took off. After they got me all settled in my room and gave me some pain meds. Hunter started to relax some after he had a long talk with the doctors. They reassured him that everything looked great with me and the baby. I was only dilated four centimeters and it could be a while before our baby was here. I just smiled at Hunter as he stayed close to my side. It was only around nine am when people started to show up and visit. It was funny as Alice looked concerned when I had a contraction in front of her. "You okay Alice? You don't look so good." I said.

"That looked like it hurt." She said. I kind of laughed.

"Wait, Are you?" I asked her. She nodded at me and I got all kinds of excited. I knew Cooper wanted more children and now he was getting his wish. Everything in my life was turning out to be wonderful. I embraced in the wonderful things that were happening around me. I could tell that Cooper was very happy and so was Hunter. Everyone I loved was living a good life and I could't be anymore happier if I tried.

My beautiful baby girl, Rebecca Holly White. Was born five hours later. Weighting seven pounds five ounces. She was very healthy and was already wrapped around her fathers fingers. Later that night after everyone headed home. I was sitting up trying to eat some dinner. Watching Hunter walk around the room rocking Rebecca in his arms. It was a beautiful sight. His smile was glued to his face. I smiled at him and he came over and kissed me.

"Thank you so much for her." He said.

"She is beautiful don't you think?" I said with a mouth full of food. He laughed.

"She looks just like you bubbles." He said.

"I don't know about that. I think she looks more like you. She has your beautiful smile." I said. Hunter smiled again.

"Yeah, your right about that." He said and we both laughed.I heard Rebecca make a cooing noise. "Maybe she is hungry too?" Hunter said. I pushed my plate to the side and Hunter handed me the baby. She had a great appetite as I took out my breast and began to feed her. Hunter loved to watch her eat. He climbed into the bed with us and rested his head on my shoulder. The next thing I knew, I could hear the light snores coming from Hunter. It had been a long day and I knew I should be tired as well, but I was wide awake. My daughter was sleeping in my arms and my husband was sleeping on my shoulders. I laid back and smiled. I always loved Hunter White and this is how I imagine my life would be. It was more like a wish I had always wanted. Here I was living my dream. I reached over and kissed Hunters forehead and closed my eyes. It was a hard journey that took us to be where we are now, but in the end it was me and Hunter. The way it always should of been. My dreams were filled with Hunter and I growing old together. Holding hands and watching our grandchildren playing in the yard. I knew I was smiling because I was nothing but happy. Life was just the way it should be and I loved Hunter with all I had.

The End...
