The next morning was Saturday.

I turn over to see the bed empty beside me and I immediately panic.

Where was Cal?

I look around the room, and spot a pile of clothes strewn over an armchair in the corner. I make my way over to it, slipping a Ramones t shirt on that only just covers my butt.

I walk out of the door and was hit by the delicious smell of bacon cooking. I hadn't even realised how hungry I am, so I quickly made my way down the stairs.

Cal was beside the stove, wearing just grey bottoms as he frowns at the pan with concentration. I take pleasure in watching him, knowing he wasn't aware I was there. He was fucking delicious. Suddenly I wasn't hungry for the bacon.

He turns his head to me, a huge smile breaking over his face.

"Morning you."

He opens his arms out and I slip into them easily.

"I could SO get used to this," I murmur, kissing his mouth.

"There's OJ in the fridge, help yourself," he nods at the fridge as I dutifully take the juice out, searching in the cupboards for the glasses. The first cupboard had nothing in at all, the second one had three plates and some mugs. I frowned and went to open the third and final cupboard.

"Yeah, it's right at the back baby, whatever you are looking for."

I turn to see Cal watching me hungrily, as the t shirt raises up to give him a wonderful view of my naked self. I roll my eyes and instruct him to find the glasses himself, making my way to one of the stools by the kitchen bar.

I wonder how he has this house, who did it belong to? I gaze around it, imagining that it was ours.

I remember my phone on the side and leant over to grab it. My parents had texted me asking how I was today and if I had fun. Oh if they only knew, I smile wickedly to myself.

Cal slides a bacon sandwich over to me and I thank him, taking a bite.

"So do you have any plans today?" Cal leans on the counter before taking a bite of his sandwich.

"No, do you?" As I respond crumbs of bread escape from my mouth and he laughs, shaking his head.

"I wondered if you wanted to go to LA ?"

He said it so casually, whilst my mouth drops open.

LA? That was over two thousand miles away.

"How exactly are we going to do that?" I ask, staring at him.

Cal simply smiles and winks at me.

"Do you think we could get a night away, or not?"

I laugh nervously.

"Are you serious? First of all, that's a flight away from here, the nearest airport is like, Minnesota. What would I tell my parents I need my passport for?"

He nods with understanding. "Yeah OK, we could do it another time. Maybe for your birthday?" His eyes met mine.

"My birthday?" I squeal with excitement, before I hesitate. "I would love that, But Cal, I really need my parents to be okay with us."

I stare at the remnants of my sandwich. He walks around the table, swivelling my stool around so that he is in between my legs.

"Hey," he says softly, lifting my head back. "I would love that. I want to be with you. Properly. Whatever I have to do, I'll do."

He was thinking of my birthday, which was six months away. He was willing to do anything to be with me. Tears threaten to spill down my face as our mouths meet. It wasn't a long walk back to the sofa...

I couldn't bear to be away from Cal, but I knew I had to return home or my parents would start to become suspicious. He drove me home, our fingers laced together as much as we could.

"When will I see you next?" I ask as he pulls up near my house. "It's not like you are nearby anymore."

I cast a sad look in the direction of the home he used to be in.

He turns towards me, kissing my hand.

"I will take you for dinner later," he says simply.

"What will I tell my parents? I can't keep lying."

I drop my head down, groaning with frustration. Why was everything so difficult?

He watchs me for a moment, biting on his lip.

"Right, come with me. Let's do this."

He gets out of the car and walks around to open my door. I stay seated, confused.

"I'm sorry, do what?"

He smiles at me mischievously before chuckling.

"Come on. If this goes completely wrong, I promise you; I won't leave you. Ok?"

I stare at him open mouthed as he leans on the car door, a smile playing on his sexy lips.

"Baby, if I have learnt anything at all, it's that life is too short. I love you. Let me meet your parents."
