Little Bitter-Sweet

Sacha's POV

It was the start of another week and Judy and I were both enjoying our new environment. I got her prepped extra early for school but that wasn't necessary since the school bus picked her up right in front of the front entrance to our gate.

After she had left, I decided to invite my best friend over. I didn't want her to get the wrong impression of me no longer wanting anything to do with her. I'll always be appreciative for what she had done when I needed her the most.

Within the time span of three hours, Remy showed up at my new place. I had already prepared hot wings, one of her favorites, and I put on a movie on the seventy inch flat screen television in the living-room.

"Well, this is certainly nice," Remy said as she walked in and started looking around.

"Thanks," I responded and handed her a plate.

"So, you'll soon have your first million dollars?" She sat down.

"Yeah. I really can't wait. I've been up late last night making a shopping list. I want to get so much stuff for Judy and for me. Especially hair products and clothes and some shoes and I wanna take Judy places. Maybe even go on a trip and stay in a hotel. We've never been outside of the country before."

Remy scuffed and I caught it just in time.

"What's the matter?" I asked.

"What about me, huh? All you ever talk about is you and Judy but what about me?"

"Remy, I'm...."

"Have you forgotten that if it wasn't for me, you wouldn't even be screwing Christian in the first place?!"

My mouth popped open but Remy's sudden outburst.

"You walk and talk like you're better than me. You can be so fake at times, Sacha! I was there when that landlord threw you out and you had nowhere to go! I was there for you and Judy. Why is it that you're not acknowledging me on your rise to be a millionaire?" Tears filled Remy's eyes and she quickly got off the couch and ran out the door.

"Remy! Remy, come back! Remy, where are you going?" I called after her but she kept running away from me, to avoid me.

Remy's POV

I never knew Sacha would turn around and be so ungrateful towards me.

Her best friend. I guess it's true what they say about friends who gets rich. They switch.

Hot tears stung my eyes as I stopped a cab and head for a hair-salon. I was meaning to get my hair washed, deep treated and styled in a slick ponytail. I entered the salon and a woman with a warm smile ushered me into her chair.

"I'm taking all walk-ins today. What would you like to have?" she asked and turned my body towards a large mirror.

"Wash, treatment and a slick ponytail," I explained and the hair-dresser set to work on my hair. When she almost through with the styling, a very elegant looking woman walked out the door.

"You would think she's a model now," my hair-dresser said to another. The ladies laughed together.

"She was rather extra snappy today. Trouble in billionaire land," the other said back.

"Well Mr. Christian Alexander could be just about fed up with her as well, because if we are, imagine that poor guy." Their discussion went back and forth but I just had to quickly excused myself at the mere mention of Christian's name. I ran out of the salon to catch the woman and just in the nick of time, I saw her entering into a Range Rover.

"Hi, excuse me. I need to talk to you. It's very important," I let out as I reached her window.

"Who are you?"

"My name is Remy."

"What do you want Remy?"

"I have dirt on your man, Christian."

"Lots of people got dirt, that doesn't make it true."

"Well I actually have the proof because he's cheating on you with my best friend. Her name is Sacha Rish."

"Get in!" she ordered. I did as I was told. I sat next to her in the back seat of her Range Rover.

"How long have your best friend been sleeping with my fiance?" she asked, eyes blazing.

"Not very long. They recently met at a club and she is getting twelve million dollars for sleeping with him. He's paying her to do so and she's going along with it."

"WHAT! Twelve million dollars?"

"Yes. I'm not lying to you."

"But why would you tell me this? She's your best friend."

"Not any more. She basically has forgotten all about me because she's on her way to being rich. I even have pictures of them together at my house when she use to live with me. Oh, did you know she's now living in Christian's summer house? I'll give you all the proof and detail that you want but you'll have to pay me. You can use that proof to do so much damage after the two of you get married. You can end him of all his money. I just want my cut."

"How much money do you want?"

"Hmmm," I wondered. "One million dollars."

"Done, I'll have it wired to your account as soon as I get home. And please keep this just between the two of us," she finished.

"Sure. Nice talking to you." I got out and watched the back of the Range speeding away. I was satisfied with myself. If sacha wasn't going to give me any money, I'll get it another way and I did exactly that. She'll be sorry because her dreams of being a millionaire is about to be over and mine is just getting started.
