Chapter 26

Bodies mingling and heavy breaths as I had difficulties matching up with his speed. The bed squeaking with every thrust he made and every time I moaned and hissed whenever he plunged deeper wanting to explore more. My mouth couldn’t stop calling his names as he held my neck and pulled me up kissing me passionately.

“K-Keith. Oh, Kei-”

A loud yelp escaped my mouth as I rolled down my bed, pulling the bedsheet and hit my head on the nightstand hissing in pain. The dream, the worst dream of my life that I had a few seconds ago traumatized me.

“What the fuck?” I yelled early in the morning as I leaned to the bed and hugged my knees not believing what type of dream I had. It was the first-ever time, I had such type of dream and to say I was having a hot sex with Keith in my dream flustered and embarrassed me to my core.

“How can you dream something like this Vienna?” I scolded myself as I slapped my face. If anyone had seen me like this then I was sure I would have been thrown to an asylum by now. My cheeks grew red, not because of the slap but because of the embarrassment of thinking Keith and I were having sex and I was moaning his name in my dream.

How could I dream of something like this?

This is not me.

What has happened to me?

Oh, this all happened only because of that Keith. That jerk! Since the day he told me that he would court me and ask me to wear that dress to honeymoon, my mind doesn’t seem to be working. He messed up my mind even though I knew he was joking. Wait! did he ever joke?

But whatever it was he succeeded in ruining my mind.

The clock read six in the morning and yawning, I got up pulling the sheets with me. A morning dream.

Huh! As if Keith and I are ever going to end up on a bed.

Not every morning dream comes true.

As I folded my duvet, I looked at my bed. My dream did take place in the same bed and that made me furrow my eyebrows as I shrugged my perverted thoughts out of my head and went straight into the bathroom for my morning routine.

“Ms. Alvis?” I heard Jesse and looked at him only to find him standing next right before my desk as he smiled down at me.

“Are you free today? I was thinking of going out for dinner,” he said and showed me his white teeth as I gave him a small smile. Can I go out with him for dinner?

What will Keith think of it?

It won’t be a good idea. I am engaged to Keith and if any media sees me with him then people might misunderstand.

And my father would nag me for sure.

Keith won’t mind at all. He doesn’t seem to be bothered whenever I was with anyone.

“It’s alright. You can think about it over the break,” he smiled and walked away as I watched his retreating back in confusion thinking why all of a sudden he is interested in taking me out for dinner.

I got up and picked up my lunch making my way towards Kaitlyn’s room. I had promised her that I would be sharing my lunch with her and she looked delightful. It would be my second time being with her and I was eager to talk to her. I loved how I was socializing with someone and as I made my way towards her, a loud shriek was heard and I stopped on my tracks.

A man was shrieking and yelling while the nurse pleaded him to sit still. I stifled a laugh finding the scene funny. The man seemed overdramatic and jumping out of places whenever the nurse tried to apply ointment on him.

I shook my head as I walked towards Kaithlyn’s room and as soon as I entered, I saw her reading a book with her glasses on. A hundred bolt smile spread her face as she saw me and sat up keeping the book aside and staring me through those reading glasses.

All of a sudden an image of someone familiar struck my head. It felt as if I had seen someone who looked the same with glasses on.

“What’s wrong?” she asked and I shook my head saying a ‘quiet nothing’ as I sat down next to her and helped her with the food table.

“How have you been? I was waiting for you,” she smiled and I smiled in response all of a sudden telling her about everything that was going on in my life. She was a stranger to me, right? It wouldn’t bother me if someone knew about my problems.

“Oh my god! How can your father do that to you? You, my dear, if you don’t want to get married then don’t! Marriage is not a game nor a deal,” she said as she got rid of her glasses and I nodded.

“Are you married?” I asked all of a sudden and she tilted her head to the side.

“Why?” she asked looking confused as she picked up her spoon.

“I mean I don’t know. I just asked you like that! If you don’t want to answer, it’s alright,” I said and she shook her head.

“No, it’s not that. I don’t know if I am married or not,” she said and I choked on my food. As I coughed, she handed me a bottle of water and I gulped down water feeling the lump in my throat clearing as I looked back at her. “What do you mean?” I asked and she smiled as she shrugged.

“Because I can’t remember anything. I was actually found by this man near a village and he took me to the hospital. My legs stopped working and the doctors told me that I had probably fallen off the waterfall or something which cause me paralysis. But then I couldn’t remember anyone from my family accept my name. I don’t even know if it’s my real name,” she sighed and that made me more into her story.

“Then did you not try to reach or lookout for your family?” I asked and she nodded.

“I did. Back then, the same man who brought me to the hospital made every attempt to search for my family but found no one. As time went by, I knew I had no one to look for. If I had a family then they might have searched for me if I fell down the waterfall right?” she asked and I nodded.

“How many days has it been since you think, you lost your memory?” I asked thinking if there was any possibility with me searching for her family.

“Oh its been years,” she laughed and took a bite from her food.

“Years? How many years?”

“Probably, fourteen or sixteen years. I can’t even remember,” she shrugged and her statement made me shocked.

There was no possible way to find her family now. They would have died, migrated or might have forgotten her face. I shook off my useless thoughts and stared at her as she looked anything but sad as she enjoyed her food.

“Tell me, are you not worried that they might be looking for you?” I asked and all she did was stare at me and look away.

“Why did you not inform the police? Men like him should be behind the bars,” she looked pissed as I told her about the guy who tried to molest me in the bar.

“Relax, Kaitlyn. Men like him are everywhere. We can’t send every single pervert behind bars. “I taught him a lesson. He will think a thousand times before doing someth-”

A loud gasp was heard and we looked towards the door.

“It is you!” a man came yelping in with crutches. He had a black eye and one leg bandaged and bruises all over his face as he came directly in and stood a few meters away from me.

“It is you! I knew it. I was not daydreaming! You are that bitch!” he yelled and raised his crutch as if wanting to hit me but if it wasn’t for a male nurse coming in and holding him away from me, he would have hit me hard.

“Excuse me? What do you think you are doing?” I snapped as I was ready to beat the shit out of him for calling me a bitch even though I didn’t know him.

“Get back, Vienna!” Kaitlyn looked petrified as she held my hand and pulled me back, stopping me from charging at the man.

“You can’t remember me now huh? Of course! How can you? Bitch, you hit me hard and told me to get off but how dare you send your boyfriend to my door and let him beat me to this?” he raised his crutches trying to hit me and I looked at him in confusion.

Hit him?

“You can’t remember me now? Don’t try to act so oblivious. Your boyfriend ruined my face. I will ruin yours!” he yelled at the top of his lungs while I stood there totally confused to what he was talking about. Soon guards came in and restrained him.

“We met in that damn bar. The worse day of my life that I met a bitch like you. Ugly ass!” he snapped and that was it as I lunged forward and before I could hit him, the female nurses got hold of me and pulled me back.

“Your fucking boyfriend traced me down and beat me like this. He fucking broke my legs. I swear to god, if I find him ever again, I will rip his throat and kill you both!” he yelled and wrestled against the male nurse and guards as he was taken out of Kaitlyn’s room.

“Are you alright?” one of the female nurses asked and I nodded as I stood there in confusion when it hit me. Wait! Is he the same molester who molested me in the club?

Yes, he is.

Oh my god!

What does he mean by my boyfriend did this to him?

I don’t have a boyfriend!

“But only a star-starking mad and whimsical fiancé," I mumbled as I realized it and felt the blood in me rising up in rage.
