First Day

My alarm went off at 6. I grumbled and pushed my phone off to shut it off. Bryce came barreling into my room and jumped on my bed.

“UP UP UP LETS GO SOLIDER TIME TO MOVE OUT!” he screamed at me, still jumping up and down making my body fling around the bed. I picked up my pillow and smacked him hard in the stomach.

“Get the hell off me!”

He was laughing when he jumped off my bed to the ground.

“You got an hour, move it move it!” he ran out the room.

I literally hated him right now. Why did god bless me with a brother again? Oh right to torture me.

I climbed out of bed and to the bathroom attached to my room. I showered and got dressed. I looked in the mirror. I picked out ripped jeans with a cold shoulder black shirt. Matching it with a pair of ankle boots. I took out my curling iron and gave myself beach curls to my chest length hair. I huffed in the mirror.

“Well here we go.”

As on cue as he always was, Bryce came through my door.

“Ready?!” He was almost jumping up and down. I swear this kid needed to lay off the Wheaties or the sugar, who knows.

“My god chill out, your gonna pass out with excitement.”

The plan was to take the bus to school. Me and Bryce both had cars back home but we had to sell them for the move. It would be humiliating to show up on the bus my first day, but I had to do what I had to do.

We got downstairs and I picked up an eggo and an energy drink and was opening the front door when my dad came down the stairs.

“hang on hang on. I got something for ya.” He grabbed keys on the counter and flung them at me. Bryce caught them however.

“Sweet keys!” .. he blinked and looked to my dad. “For what?”

My dad laughed and pointed to me. “Those are for her, yours is coming next week.”

I grabbed the keys from my brothers hands and looked down. They had a Jeep symbol on it.

“YOU DIDN’T!”

I ran outside to see a brand new Blacked out 4 door Jeep Wrangler. I screamed and ran towards it.

“OH MY GOD YESSS!!! AHHHH I’M SO HAPPY!!” I jumped inside it, the top was down so I stood up in the drivers seat. “TOP OF THE WORLD WOOOOO!!! YEAH BABY!” I let myself go for a little bit. Felt good to be happy about something right now.

Bryce was staring at me, and my dad appeared next to him with a hand on his shoulder. “Let her have this son. She’s been through a lot this last year..”

Bryce shrugged when his eyes glazed over in memory then shook his head and then ran towards the jeep too then turned to our dad. “Um, I’ll let her have it, but I get to drive it home!” Sadly he read the future with saying that.

He opened the door to the passenger side. I smiled at my dad. “THANK YOU!”

He smiled and waved us off, as I pulled out of the driveway. I was so happy. He was trying to help me out here, at a new school. I appreciated the gesture. Suddenly I stopped at the end of the driveway and yelled to him.

“GOOD LUCK TODAY POPS!”

Bryce joined in and jumped up in his seat. “YEAH KILL IT POPS!”

I took that moment to reverse with Bryce still standing up and he flew forward and smacked his head against the cage.

“Ow what the hell!”

I busted into laughter as he sat back down. He wasn’t hurt, he was just a big baby. I drove off down the street to our new adventure. Jackson High School.
