“...and suddenly all the love songs were about you”

We can always remember our infancy, such great times, a time of innocent, emotion, and beauty. Our imagination is a crucial factor to dream and not even the stars are the limits. We can create multiple stories and worlds. Some times the stories are beautiful and sweet, and other times the stories are crazy and fun. As kids, the mistakes we made are not by coincidence. Sometimes we make mistakes to be with someone special. That person that makes you smile and laugh, but can also make you cry. Someone who knows how to steal a smile with one look and make you sigh. And believe me, all girls have their special someone. And even today he can make laugh like an idiot, I know my special someone can do it and my special someone was my best friend Carter Welch.

Carter was my best friend since 2004, our parents were friends, so you could say we grow up together. I can remember the day I met Carter Welch, the boy of my dreams. But at that time I did not know that. The place was beautiful, a garden with roses, daisies and other kinds of flowers. The sun was up in the sky and rainbows with every color cross it. I remember being so afraid of that boy, he was so demure, and I was a mess. He has black hair well groom, he was idly. And his big blue eyes with every single movement, I can not know what exactly was in this mind, but I was overwhelmed. I knew our parents wanted us to be friends, so they introduce us. I like a coward did not want to be left alone with this strange boy. But they did leave us alone in that beautiful garden, I could only look at my father going inside the house. I turn to see Carter, he looked bored out of his mind, I could feel his eyes glaring at me. But all change with his smile, that beautiful smile. He became my best friends, we had our special place in that garden. That garden could speak it would tell all the things we did. We would read stories to make our own stories and play our favorite game: Hide-and-seek.

Sometimes we play with my little sister Sarah and his two sisters Julia and Nicole. Carter and I usually hide together ... that’s not right. Carter did hide with me because he never bothered to find his hiding place. I knew all the good hiding places in that garden, that’s right even my sister did not know. At the end of every game, our little sisters got mad, they would fight. And Sarah, my poor little sister would always cry. But all good things come to an end. And our happy adventure ended when my mom left us. My dad took care of everything, and sometimes he did not know how. Especially the day my period came, he did not know how to handle it, so he gave me a pack of pads and tons of Advil.

But I could always have Carter with me and comfort me after my mom left he was always there with me. He would take us to school and even at college he would wait for me at my door house. His smile was everything for me...
