Learning From Sin

I laughed as Maya picked out our next song, making my way to the kitchen.“What’s the hold up with the sandwiches!?” I shouted turning the corner. I stopped short at the stricken look on Sin's face. “What’s wrong?” I walked over, laying a hand on his chest. His look saddened as he pulled me in for a hug. Ok, something definitely was wrong, “Sin?”

“I'm so sorry baby.” He squeezed me tightly, resting his chin on my shoulder. That’s when I felt the wetness on his cheek, he was crying?

“What’s going on Sin?” I tried to pull away but he wouldn’t let me budge.

“It’s your mother,” My heart stopped as he said those words. No, my mother was fine. “She passed away.”

I tried to pull away again. “Sin, let me go!” I beat against his chest trying to get out of his grip. I had to go see my mother. He had to be lying, there’s no way. What kind of cruel prank was he pulling?

“I’m sorry.” He just kept repeating over and over. I stopped struggling, feeling my body weaken. My body shook as sobs took over my body and tears began to pour out. She was dead, this was no prank. Gone from me forever, and I wasn’t even there to say goodbye. I wrapped my arms around Sin, squeezing him to me.

“What's going on?” I heard Maya ask coming into the kitchen.

Chad cleared his throat. “Lets go talk in the living room.”

I squeezed my eyes shut trying to block out the pain. The tears wouldn’t stop and my legs felt weak. I was afraid Sin was the only thing keeping me up right now. “Lets go lay down.” He scooped me up in his arms bridal style. I buried my face in his shoulder wrapping an arm around his neck.

I don’t remember the trip to the bedroom I must've dozed off, I just felt myself being placed on the bed. Sin tugged my sweats off before pulling the cover up over me. I buried my face in the pillow gripping the sheets. “I’m going to send Maya and Chad home, I’ll be right back.” I made a sound that I think was ok, but I wasn’t too sure.

“How is she?” Maya asked the moment I walked out.

“How do you think she is Maya?” I snapped.

“This is horrible,” She shook her head. She had no idea.

“I’m going to go lay down with her. I need you guys to leave so I can lock the door behind you now.” They nodded their heads in understanding, making their way to the door. How could such an enjoyable moment turn dark so fast?

“Text me if anything changes,” Maya demanded. I knew she didn’t want to leave her best friend and would be checking up on her every chance she got. I nodded at her, closing the door behind them.

I walked back to my room, hesitating by the door when I heard silent crying. I don’t know how much my heart can take of this. My poor baby was devastated and there was nothing I could do.

I walked in watching as the cover shook around her as she cried. I climbed into my side of the bed pulling her close to me. She buried her face in my chest as I wrapped my arms around her. “Shh I’m here.”

“Don’t ever leave me,” She croaked out. I wasn’t expecting her to talk any time soon, so her request took me by surprise.

“I won’t.”

She pulled back to look at me, her eyes red and puffy. Unshed tears brimming on the end waiting to fall. “You promise? I can’t lose you too.” She choked out.

I guided her head back into my chest. “I promise, you don’t have to ever worry about that.” I couldn’t leave her even if I tried. I’m sure even my ghost would come back to be with her. She hiccuped a few times before her breathing evened out, she was asleep. I sighed pressing a kiss to the top of her head.

Now I just needed to figure out how to get out of work tomorrow. There was no way they’d let me take another day off. But Blaire needed me right now and I’d quit my job to be here with her if I had to. Thank god tomorrow was Friday so I'd have the whole weekend to stay with her.

I reached behind me grabbing my phone off the dresser. I sent a quick text to the principal telling him I wouldn’t be able to make it in due to losing a family member. I mean Melinda was family, I’ve known her all my life. Blaire made a sound in her sleep, reaching her hand out trying to find me. Since I was turned away, she ended up grabbing my cock instead. I stiffened as she squeezed it through my boxers, before relaxing once again.

I rolled back over hoping she’d release me, but no such luck. She had me in a grip that she wasn’t planning on letting go anytime soon. I tried my hardest focusing on not getting hard and messing up my boxers. Even in her sleep the little minx could make me bust.

I sighed wrapping my arms back around her. I closed my eyes thinking of nothing but rabbits and rainbows.

I pried my eyes open, winching at how dry they were. My eyes landed on Sin resting next to me, a pained look on his face. His mouth was opened slightly, every breath he released made my baby hairs fly up. I looked down when I felt something soft in my hand. I blushed realizing I was holding his penis in a tight grip. That’s why he has such a pained look on his face, he was probably working hard not to get hard. I let him go, bringing my hand up to rest on his arm.

The dream I woke up from felt so real. I saw my mother, telling me she was no longer in pain and in a much happier place. She was with my father once again. She told me Sin would take care of me and not to be sad, she left me in good hands. My eyes watered as I watched him sleep. I was going to miss her terribly. No more shouts from her waking me up in the mornings. No more teasing me about Sin, no more binge watching shows together. She was really gone. She would never have the chance to meet her grand-kids. I choked on a sob, making his eyes pop open.

He sat up in bed pulling me onto his lap. “Shh.” I brought an arm up around his neck as I sobbed into his shoulder.

“She’ll never meet our kids.” I cried.

“She may never meet them, but she’ll always be looking over them.”

My phone started to ring next to us, Sin answered when he noticed I wasn’t making a move to do so. “Hello? Yes she’s right here, she doesn’t feel like talking. Ok I’ll tell her.” He sat the phone back down.

“Who was that?”

“Funeral directors, my Mom contacted them,” They wanted me to start planning her funeral already? Wasn't it too soon?

“What do they want with me?”

He sighed, “Nothing you need to worry about love, my Mom will take care of everything.” I felt bad having his mother do it all by herself. But there’s no way I could be apart of it.

“How will I ever repay her?” I laid my head on his chest, listening to his semi rapid heartbeat.

“You don’t have to Blaire, you know you’re like a daughter to her. She’ll do anything for you.”

“I just don’t want to feel like a user.” His hand cupped my chin, lifting my face up to his. He pressed his lips to mine lightly at first, before applying more pressure. The kiss was short and sweet, ending quicker than I wanted it to. “You want some ice cream?”

I frowned at him, “I would rather have you instead.”

He laughed, “How about I go get us some ice cream and we can pig out in bed all day?”

“Can we rent a movie?”

He placed a kiss to my forehead. I sighed in content, maybe I can get through this. As long as he’s by my side. “Whatever you want love.”
