Class Is In Session

“My name is Sin, but you’ll refer to me as Mr. Rivera.” The timber in his voice had me crossing my legs, to keep from reaching between them. I made the mistake of looking up. He stood at the front of the classroom, watching me. I groaned slightly at what he was wearing. A light blue button up with black dress pants. I can just imagine mini Sin hanging freely in those pants.

Why must he have look so good? This would be much easier if he was ugly. He watched me intently, the corner of his mouth lifting slightly. Like he knew what I was thinking. He knew exactly what he was doing to me.

A girl up front raised her hand, pulling his attention away from me. “Yes, Ms..?” he let the sentence drag off.

“You can just call me Emily Sir.” She told him, batting her eyelashes. I rolled my eyes. Emily was usually a quiet girl. I guess even she couldn’t help herself from lusting over Sin. He nodded at her, encouraging her to go on. “I was just wondering, how old are you?”

“We’re actually going to get to that in a minute.” He walked around his desk going to the chalk board. I watched his muscles flex as he scribbled his name across the board. Against my better judgement I leaned forward, wanting to get a better view of his ass.

Once he was done writing his name he went and stood in front of his desk, leaning back against it. He crossed his arms surveying the room. “I don’t know how your old math teacher ran things but I assure you, I’m not them.” He smiled.

“Damn right you’re not.” A girl next to me mumbled. I looked over to see her staring hard at him. I glared.

“I’m going to go around the class and have everyone introduce themselves. I want your name and one fact about you.” I rolled my eyes. That was so typical of a new teacher. “Did you have something to share with the class Ms. Winter?" My eyes snapped to his as he addressed me. Oh god, why was he calling me out?

“Um, no?” He took a deep breath upon hearing my voice. I guess I wasn’t the only effected.

“Why don’t you stand up and introduce yourself first?” Was he serious? Why was he putting me in the spotlight like this? Was this his punishment for me ignoring him?

He raised an eyebrow at my reply. “Because it’s what the teacher asked of you.” He challenged me, daring me not to stand up.

If a challenge is what he wanted then a challenge is what he’s going to get. I tried to keep the smirk off my face as I leaned back in my chair. “I’m good."

His demeanor cracked for a second, as he smiled at me. He was enjoying me defying him. God, I missed him so much. “I guess you can answer that question in detention then. I’ll see you after school Ms. Winter.” My body froze as he went on to the next person. Did he really just give me detention? There was no way I was staying in a class alone with him after school. I wouldn’t survive.

I looked up at the clock to see we only had thirty minutes of class left. He handed out a sheet of problems for us to work on for the remainder of class. When he got to my desk, he made sure his hands brushed against mine. I sighed as his warmth spread through me. Its been so long since I felt his touch. Even a simple brush of his hand brought me to cloud nine.

When the bell rung signaling the end of class I quickly got my stuff rushing out. I went to my locker debating about my next move. Was I really going to skip detention? What would be the consequences? I’ve never gotten detention before so skipping was never an option for me. “Hey, you want to go get some coffee?”

I looked over as Claire approached me, silently thanking the heavens that I had even more of an excuse to skip detention. I slammed my locker shut grabbing hold of her wrist. “I would love to.” I walked swiftly down the hallway. I needed to get out of here before Sin came looking for me.

“What’s the rush? Its just coffee. Not like any hot guys work there.” She mumbled next me.

“No reason.”

“Really? Cause you’re practically ripping my arm from its socket.” She complained.

I looked back as the hallway started to clear of kids. I stumbled slightly when I noticed Sin standing in his doorway. He sipped his drink as he watched me rush from school, a small smile on his lips. He knew I wasn’t going to show up to detention, this was all just a game to him. But he also knew I couldn’t avoid him at school. He had me right where he wanted me. Cat and mouse, and I happened to be the mouse.

“Where is Maya?” I asked her once we found seats in the coffee shop. I inhaled the fresh smell of coffee, sighing happily.

She rolled her eyes. “Chad picked her up. I didn’t even get a chance to ask her to join us before he skrted out of the parking lot.”

I laughed. “ Maybe he was just excited to see her.”

“Oh, he was excited I bet.” She laughed along with me. “So, who are you crushing on?” she asked me suddenly.

I stiffened. “What?”

She sighed, “I know you and Sin got something going on.” My eyes widened.

“Why would you think that?” I tried playing dumb. I wasn’t ready to tell her about Sin and I.

“Did you forget I caught you two at that restaurant? I’m not dumb Blair. I was simply waiting for you to tell me. Which I see you weren’t planning to do.” The sadness in her eyes made me feel bad.

“I’m sorry, but there’s nothing going on between us now.” I hope she just left it as that.

Her face perked up, “So there was something going on? I knew it! Especially when he accidentally called me by your name today.” The sip of coffee I just took came spewing out of my mouth. “That’s gross.”

“He did what?” He said my name? In school? In front of a class?

She smirked at me. “I raised my hand to answer a question and he said. “Yes Blaire.” The guy is clearly pussy whipped.” I felt my cheeks starting to get hot. I can’t believe he called her my name. “The other kids didn’t catch on though, they probably assumed he meant some other Blaire. But I knew without a doubt he was talking about.” She brought her drink up to her mouth.

I bit my lip. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you.”

She waved her hand at me. “It’s fine, does Maya know?”

I nodded. “I told her about a week ago, she was fine with it.” I took a sip of my drink.

“So, have you guys fucked?” For the second time that day, I spat out my drink.

“Claire! You can’t just ask things like that.” My cheeks were burning. Who raised this woman?

“What? It’s a simple question.”

“It’s a private question.”

She rolled her eyes. “It’s a yes or no question.”

I hesitated, looking around the coffee shop. I leaned forward across the table to whisper in her ear. “Plenty of times.” I sat back down smirking at her. “and he’s very fulfilling.”

She fanned herself. “Damn I wish I would’ve gotten to him first.” I giggled. “It’s so unfair, you and Maya both have hot older guys while I’m lonely Lucy.” She pouted.

“I told you we're not together.”

“Yeah I doubt that’s going to last long.” Wow, I loved her faith in me.

The rest of the time I spent with Claire was us trying to decide on suitable bachelors for her. By the time I got home it was almost seven o’clock. “Mom!” I called out into the house.

“In the kitchen honey.” I made my way to the kitchen. The moment I walked in I felt her glare on me. Oh boy. “So, I hear you’re into skipping now?” I started backing out the kitchen slowly. “Don't you take another step.”

“It was just detention.”

She raised an eyebrow. “And how did you get ‘just detention’?" I wonder if Sin called and told her. Its like the more I ignored him the more they socialized.

“Sin was picking on me!” I defended myself.

She sighed, “I don’t care what happened. He agreed not to report you to the principle if you show up tomorrow.”

“Show up to what?”

She started heading out of the room. “Detention of course.” My face fell.

“You agreed for me to go to detention with him!?” What's the point of skipping if they’re just going to reschedule it.

“Yup.” She said, popping the p. I followed her as she made her way upstairs.

“Mom you don’t understand! I can’t be stuck in a classroom alone with him!” I pleaded.

“And why not?” Because the heated look in his eyes showed me exactly what he had planned if I stayed. I bit my lip. No way was I answering that.

“Because I can’t.”

She stopped by her bedroom door. “Goodnight Hun, I won’t be getting any calls tomorrow about you skipping detention, right?”

I sighed. There was no changing her mind. “No.”

“Good.” She opened her door, going into her room.

I went into mine groaning. Dammit! He was a sneaky little bastard. Calling my mom behind my back. I stripped out of my clothes, going to my dresser to get my pajamas. Who does he think he is? Just cause he’s my teacher now he thinks he can control my life? Does he think I’m just going to fall back into his arms? I slipped on my shorts and tank top sliding into bed. I can’t believe that guy!

I turned on my TV looking for something to watch, when I heard my phone ding. I dug around in the jeans that I had thrown on the floor, pulling it out. It lit up showing a new text message from Sin.

From Sin:
I can’t wait to teach you a lesson about skipping tomorrow. Night naughty school girl.

My eyes widened at his words as my heart rate picked up. Teach me a lesson? Oh god, I was in trouble. My mother just threw her daughter into the den of a starving wolf and don't even know it.
