Chapter 1

Introduction

I am Alexis Winston but everyone calls me Lexi. I am from London and this is my senior year.

My mom is Andrea Winston and she is an Interior Designing Expert and has her own magazine called “Interior Design” of course in which she talks about all the tips and terms and stuff related to Interior Designing.

My dad’s name is Adam Winston. He works as an Executive Director of the firm ‘Zara’. Yeah the clothes company ‘Zara’.

I don’t really like leaving England. I just miss everything over there. Shifting from London in which I have practically lived my whole life is heart breaking. Leaving everything, all my friends, Uni, memories and my rest of the family is hard.

I thought that I will never leave London except for college or any modelling contracts. I was a model back in London, where I was discovered by the editor of “Vulcan” magazine.

I was featured in one of the pages and small modelling offers came in. I took it and I hoped that I would make a name in the fashion industry, “Alexis Winston, a supermodel”. Even before my career had started, I was shifting to Canada.

My dad offered to launch me as a model in his Zara campaign. As I wanted to be a model on my own so I rejected his offer and he supported me in it.

Ok the main reason I was shifting to Canada was because my dad got transferred and my mom had thought that Canada was a good place to set her business. It was all so sudden. I was told a month ago and here I was on the way back to my new house in Montreal, Canada.

I was really scared moving to Canada. Moving to Canada means making new friends, being alone for the first few weeks or months.
