Chapter 58 Friday

Chapter 58 Friday

Friday comes quick, with Victoria dropping off Tylor wanting to try to do her best to get inside the house. She wants to see who is dating Brian, who is making him feel and talk this way.

She just doesn’t get the chance with Sean waiting for Tylor on the steps. He knew she would try something and he doesn't want her to ruin what his brother has. He knows for his brother to do all this, he really cares. He wasn’t going to let Victoria get in the way of it. He knew in time, she would just, for now, he was trying to protect him.

“Thanks for dropping Tylor off,” Sean says.

“Not letting me in, I see? What are you so scared of?” Victoria asks.

“Nothing, I just like things quiet. I know once you're in the middle of it, it will no longer be that.” Sean answers.

“So he really does care about whoever this is?” Victoria asks.

“Yes, From what I can tell he does. It's not like anything, I have seen before and I don't want you to ruin it, not that you could.” Sean replies.

“What makes her so different than all the rest?” Victoria asks.

“I don’t know. There is just something about her, he truly likes.” Sean responds.

“I will have to meet her sooner or later. So whatever for now. You and I both know this won't last. He will do something to screw it up. He always does. He isn't meant for commitment.” Victoria comments.

“Maybe, maybe not. That's for them to find out themselves. This may last, it may not. Who is really to say.” Sean remarks.

“I can’t believe you're taking it so lightly. You really want him to leave here? I doubt she is going to live with you. Who really is she? He hasn't told me anything about her. I thought he was going to work, how did he meet her?” Victoria asks.

“That's not really any of your business. If he wants to tell you, that's fine. It's his story to tell not mine. Plus he doesn't have to live here forever. I don't want to hold him back. I want him to have a life. It's bad enough, I held him back when mom died. I am old enough to take care of myself now.” Sean responds.

“If you say so. You know Tylor will just tell me everything when he comes home.” Victoria smirks.

“We figured, but that means you still have two and half days to wait to find out,” Sean says closing the door behind him.

Sean walks in the house smiling at Tylor. Brian coming down the stairs to see his son.

“Hey, bud. I am glad your here.“Brian says.

“Hey, dad, What is going on? Mom said you have a girlfriend?” Tylor asks.

“I need to talk to you. How about we go sit in the backyard with a glass of tea and I will tell you everything that is going on?” Brian asks.

“That sounds good,” Tylor responds.

They both go in the backyard taking a seat at the glass table with four chairs and a colorful umbrella.

“I know mom is drama dad, so I want to hear the truth from you. I overheard her talking to Matt about a new Tart? Or something like that.” Tylor replies.

“Yea that sounds like your mother alright. When I got this new job, I met a wonderful woman. She is everything I ever wanted. She isn't a tart like your mother wants to say. She is a sweet smart caring woman, who I want you to meet because she is going to be in my life for a long time. I want you to know that we are planning on moving in together.” Brian says.

“I heard you are already living together. So what will be any different?” Tylor asks.

“We plan on getting our own home in Jersey City. I also plan on marrying her. So it's way different than before.” Brian remarks.

“I think it's cool. I don't have any problem with it dad. Will I still be coming to see you?” Tylor asks.

“Of course. Elizabeth even wants to make sure the new house has a room just for you. Just because I am with her, doesn't change anything. Your still my son. I don't want you listening to anything your mother has to say. We just don’t get along.” Brian answers.

“I know. You never have, it's nothing new. Not sure why she is with Matt though, she fights with him all the time. It's mostly about you, I am sure he is tired of hearing it by now.” Tylor says.

“I am sure he is also. That's between them though, I want to be honest with you son. I am never going back to your mother. It's just better for us to be apart.” Brian comments.

“I know, it was no better when she was with you. I remember all the fighting. If you are happy now, I am glad for you dad. I hope she makes you happy. I can’t wait to meet the woman that can actually make you happy.” Tylor responds.

“You will meet her at dinner time and thank you so much for taking it like this.“Brian states.

“Why wouldn't I? I do have to say it will be something different, You never made me meet any of the others.” Tylor comments.

“I didn't feel like this about any of the others,” Brian admits.

Brian is happy that his son is on board, at least one thing was going smoothly. He chuckled to himself about hearing how Victoria and Matt fight over him still. In another way, he was worried about his job. Would this affect it? Get in the way? When he talked to Matt on the phone, he didn't seem to dislike him or hold anything against him. He got him the job in a heartbeat.

Maybe Matt just knew how Victoria was, its wasn't anything new. Brian knew how strongly she felt about him, he just figured Matt wouldn't like his wife pinning over her ex. Then its been years. Maybe now she would finally let go.
