Chapter 80 Firm Dinner

Chapter 80

The next morning, Brian wakes and Elizabeth is gone. He opens his eyes as he pats her side of the bed, wondering what is going on? This wasn’t like her at all. He would get her up or the other way around waking in each other's arms or at least moving to the other one's side.

Then he smells breakfast and just figures she must have been really hungry. Its why she left the bed. He also figures something was wrong, all the kisses she used to give him. There were not that many last night and none so far this morning as she bolted out of the bedroom before he even woke. He knew something was off and wanted to get to the bottom of it.

He gets his robe and goes downstairs, into the kitchen. Seeing Elizabeth making pancakes and eggs. His favorite. He walks up to her and kisses her neck, getting a slight jolt in return.

“Sorry, you stuck up on me,” Elizabeth answers quickly.

“Babe, what is going on? I know something is wrong. You're not the same. You never Jolt when I touch you, its more like fall into me and want more. What happened when you were away? You don’t want to go back to Ethan, do you?” Brian answers, thinking she may have changed her mind.

“Hell, NO.” Elizabeth snaps.

Taking Brian by surprise.

“Well I am glad to hear that, what did he do then?” Brian asks.

“Elizabeth just looks at him, with a sad face wanting to tell him at the same time, feeling he will never look at her the same. She is torn. The conversation with Monica replaying in her mind, knowing she was right. Just would Brian stay with her? or feel she asked for it?

“Babe? Will you stop cooking and answer me. You were fine before you left, you seem distant. Did I do something?” Brian asks.

Elizabeth looks up at him, walking over to him, and wrapping her arms around him.

“No, you didn't do anything. None of this is your fault, I need you to know that.” Elizabeth answers.

Brian takes her by the hand and takes her to the living room, where he lets her take a seat on the grey sofa, taking a seat next to her.

“Then tell me what is going on?” Brian asks.

“I don’t want to lose you. Whatever you think please I do love you with all my heart. I know how we met, that I cheated with you, but that doesn't mean anything. I would never cheat on you. I don't need to, you're all I ever wanted and more. I couldn't ask for anything else. I want you to know and please believe that.” Elizabeth says starting to cry.

“You're scaring me Elizabeth,” Brian replies.

“The last night before coming home, Ethan was feeling sorry for himself and got plastered. I didn’t want him to drive home, so me and the girls drove him. They wanted to go be with their own boyfriends so I took him inside, bringing him to his room. He was still trying to fight for our relationship and I told him it was over. He didn't accept that and he raped me.” Elizabeth admits.

“That bastard did what? I will freaking kill him. Are you ok? Why didn't you tell me sooner? You held it in this whole time? Even went to dinner? ” Brian says jumping up from the sofa.

His nerves taking the best of him now. He wanted to beat Ethan to a pulp. There were so many things going through his mind, he didn't know what to ask or do first.

“I was scared to tell you. I thought you would think, I deserved it for going there. And last night was no time to tell you. You were working so hard and was happy. I didn't want to burden you with this.” Elizabeth confesses

“Deserve it? No, you didn't deserve it, I still can’t believe he would be that much of a dick to do something like this. What the fuck is wrong with him? And burden me? Really? I want you to feel you can come to me with anything. We are there for each other. I am not him Elizabeth.“Brian says going over to her and holding her close.

“I know, I thought so many things. I feel so much better that you know now. Like a weight has been lifted off my chest.” Elizabeth says.

“Are you hurt?” Brian asks. Thinking of so many things Ethan could have done to her. Just scared to ask and hear the truth.

“I’m a bit better today. I hurt more from fighting back. The bruises will fade and go away. The rest will take time.” Elizabeth responds.

“I will never let you be alone with him again. I should have come, I should have been there. I know I can't say never to see him again because of your kids, but if you ever go there again, I will be right there. He touches you and I will kick his ass. ” Brian snaps.

“I didn’t want you to come, you needed to work and do what you needed to. I am also going to try not to be near him again. The only time I will have to is if our daughter Sofia gets married, and I do want you there by my side. I also don't want you to kick his ass or anything else. I don't need you to get into trouble. You can lose your license. I don't need him taking anything away from you or me. He has done enough. Promise me, Brian.” Elizabeth says.

“I promise. Don’t worry about the job, I am fine. Matt isn't going to fire me. When you need me I will be there.” Brian comments.

“I love you.” Elizabeth states.

“I love you too. I am so sorry babe.” Brian answers.

“It’s not your fault.” She replies.
