Chapter 16

I found rum and cola, just what I wanted. I went to the kitchen and now was standing there with a cup in my hand, leaning my back on the kitchen table. I found myself at the party, without any desire to be there. Again. My friends were busy and perfectly fine without me. Again. Really, why did I even come here? I should have stayed with mom and dad. I closed my eyes and gulped down my cocktail.

“What’s your poison?” Drew’s voice ringed in my ear. I opened my eyes and stared at him. He was before me, with a cup in his hands and he was smiling.

“Just rum?”

“No. Cola too. Why are you here? And where are your company? You looked really into each other.”

“Nah.” Drew shrugged his shoulders and stepped closer to me. He pressed his hips to mine.

“What do you think you’re doing?” I looked him straight in the eyes. He took his cup in one hand, pulling me by my waist to him with the other. He licked his lips, and I followed his tongue with my eyes. If I’m not out of this kitchen in the next few minutes, I will find myself in Drew’s room. I wanted him without question. But since I saw him with another girl, it just felt wrong.

I placed my hand on his chest and pushed him away from me a little. He stepped back but was still smiling.

“You’re not in the mood. Okay. I will wait. I am a patient man. Let’s go dancing now.” He grabbed my hand and led me back to the living room. I followed him. But in the room, I pulled my hand out of his grip and said that I needed to find Lily. He shook his head with disapproval, but let me go.

I noticed Lily and Rob almost immediately. They were dancing close and looked very intimate. Honestly, I was happy for them. But since now, I didn’t have any reason to go to them. I guess it was my cue to leave. I turned to the exit and bumped right into Logan. He was watching Lily and Rob too.

“Can you explain to me why my sister and your boyfriend are dancing together?”

“Maybe, because he’s not my boyfriend anymore. And they look cute together if you ask me.” I stepped back from him and was ready to leave, but he blocked my way. I was starting to feel annoyed.

“Why did you break up with him?”

“Because it was the right thing to do. He’s my friend and nothing more. Rob is a good guy and will never hurt your sister if you’re worried about her. May I go now?”

“Do you really need to?” Logan was drunk, Melanie was nowhere to be seen. Just great!

“Yes. I want to go home.”

“You’re so beautiful... Why do I need to resist it? I want you, Becca.” It was a reaching point this time. I had enough of it.

“Are you fucking kidding me? Stop acting like a jerk, Logan! I don’t deserve this! Not after what you said to me!” I felt anger building in me. He didn’t seem to care, Logan stepped to me and pulled me to him. He started kissing my neck. Hell, I wanted it before. But now I wasn’t so sure about it. Especially as he was drunk, there were too many prying eyes, and also there was Drew. Melanie should be somewhere near, and I didn’t want her to see it, I will be the one to blame. I pushed him away.

“Let me go!” He stumbled a few steps back. I used this opportunity and rushed out of the room. When I was almost near the exit, Drew stepped in my sight of view. He had a frown on his face and was looking at something behind me.

“He’s drunk, isn’t he?” Drew was asking me about Logan. It wasn’t hard to guess. I turned my head and looked back at him. He was standing there with few girls excitedly talking to him. I suspected that he hardly heard something. His gaze was on me.

“Yes. Where is Melanie? Why did she leave him like that?”

“She took Phoebe to the bathroom. It’s her friend.” He explained to me, as my eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Ah, it was his girl for the night.

“Your booty call became too drunk?”

“She became desperate and drunk because I brushed her off. For another girl.” Oh. I guess he meant me. Does he think that I feel flattered about it?

“What are you going to do?”

“You tell me. Is it my room or yours?”

“Why do you think that I want this?”

“Are you not?” He leaned in and peered his eyes at me. I had feelings for him. This was the truth - the most honest truth in the world right now. It was my reality. I had feelings for the most famous womanizer of our college. If I am going to pursue this relationship, I will be the one to regret it. He didn’t want to talk about us. He didn’t want to be seen with me. His nonverbal communication was crystal clear and still... I wanted to follow him.

“It’s yours. You said that your bed is more comfortable. I want to check it.” To hell with everything.

Drew’s face lightened with a huge smile. I smiled back at him. He was like a naughty child, and he was beautiful. There were not any doubts about why I was so attracted to him. He turned to go, and I was ready to follow him when we heard Logan’s voice, and both turned to face him.

“Man, where are you going? And where is Phoebe? I thought she was yours for tonight. Mel told me that girl liked you for a long time... But I think you guessed it by yourself... She’s your groupie...” Logan was unsteady. He tried to focus on us.

“Phoebe with Mel. She’s drunk, and your girlfriend took her to the bathroom.”

“My girlfriend?” Logan’s eyes snapped at me, and Drew saw it and scowled. He was starting to feel angry.

“Yeah, Melanie. She will be here soon. I think you need to go and sober up a little. When did you manage to get so wasted?”

“I was having fun. We won, Drew! We beat these motherfuckers! Let’s go and drink with me!” Logan reached and clapped Drew on the shoulder. Drew brushed his hand off and stared at him.

“I am good, thanks.”

“Then you, Becca. Come with me. I need the company!”

“I was leaving already. Bye, Drew.” I stepped back from them and turned to walk out of the room. As I took a few steps further, I saw Melanie. She hurriedly went to Logan. Good. She will take care of him. Why did he get so drunk? He didn’t seem the type to me. Ugh. I shouldn’t give a damn about it!

“What are you doing?” Drew caught me by my arm when I was ready to walk out of the front door.

“Going home?”

“Nope. I don’t think so.” He stepped closer to me without releasing my arm. Drew placed his hand on my cheek, and in the next second, his lips were on mine. His lips were so soft and gentle, I opened my mouth, and his tongue immediately slipped inside. We kissed, and I didn’t want it to end. But he stepped away from me with his usual grin on his lips.

“If you will continue to answer my kisses like that, I am afraid we won’t be able to take it to my room. And I will fuck you right there because I am already hard, and I don’t have too much patience in me...”

“Then what are you waiting for?” I closed the distance between us and placed a hand to his groin. He wasn’t kidding. His cock was hard. I felt desire building in me. I ran my hand up and down over his dick through his jeans, Drew groaned. In a flash, he scooped me in his arms and threw me over his shoulder. I started to giggle. He took me to his room, closed the door, and put me on the floor. The laughter died in my throat. We were standing near his bed and stared at each other in the eyes. I saw lust in his, and I was sure he saw the same in mine.
