Chapter 1

It was just a normal day for 22 year old Parker Johnson get up, go to work, come home, do even more work, then go to sleep. His life wasn't as easy as you may think. He works long hours and works hard just as he always has. He has a nice apartment in the centre of New York with a beautiful view of the city, the only thing he didn't have was anyone to share that with.

Parker's pov:

Beep, beep:

Stupid alarm, I thought as I climbed at a snails pace out of my nice and warm bed. It was 6.30 and work started at 7.30. I work at a little coffee shop, but I'm not just any old employee I'm assistant manager. It wasn't easy but I worked my way up the ladder and I now it's a pretty lame job but it pays for my life I guess.

Work soon started and we were pretty busy I've got to say, I was pretty much rushed off my feet until around 10.00am. My boss finally decided I could take my break so I went into the back to the staff area.

My break was soon over so I went back out into the shop, and bumped into...

"Ow, sorry are you ok." The pretty girl said, and I replied,

"Yeah sorry are you ok." When I said that it was like her eyes were staring straight into my brain, and I couldn't move.

After that I kind of finally found someone I can share my life with.

Jean Tryon: As a beta, I found this story outstanding!! Plot, grammar, phraseology, etc Rachel gives us it all. She takes the story into the future from where due South ends. She is an exacting and thoughtful author.

LouiseJ2: I enjoyed the detail you went into with regards to the case. It made the UNSUB appear believable. The crisis in the middle of the story was my favorite part, very dramatic but not over the top. I feel like sometimes pairings can be overdone but I liked that some of the relationships were a little...

rajastreet: I enjoyed this piece! I loved the treatment of time and the premise! Some of the wording seemed a little out of place, but easily overlooked for a good a plot.

Julia Summers PA: Reading this now. It's fun, hilariously fabulous yet taste of what you desire in a unusual read. I will post an actual review when I am finished. But so far loving the flow and the story seems to keep me drawn

Fashakin Michael: I have looked for the right word to describe this piece of Art but I concluded with "Wow!" Every chapter held me glue till the last and the book is just the reflection of our environment with its reaction. Though the writeup is not far from what happens in home but the writer was able to hold me ...

Ben Gauger: Kudos go to wordworrywill, author of Kings and Things, an otherwise imaginative tale set against the trappings of the royal set, but then again I don't imagine there'd be many authors who invoked the names of Oprah Winfrey, Vladimir Putin, Jeff Bezos, Beyonce and Steven Spielberg, As for the plot...

Ro-Ange Olson: Loved it and couldn't put it down. I really hope there is a sequel. Well written and the plot really moves forward.
