Chapter 12: Miss Tia

Tia's pov

"And done, finally" I sigh, looking at the website I created. after testing it out a couple times I hide my number and send it to everyone in school.

Looking back at the site, I feel a hint of regret but shake it away. It's a burn book site for Dawn.

She needs to learn that she can only count on herself and she needs to stay away from Jackson and I know a lot of people who don't like the fact he has taken a liking to her, I hope this will wake her up cause if it doesn't I don't know what will.

I don't want to hurt her but some times people have to do shit they don't want too.

I check the site and see a lot of people had already started writing shit about her.

I shut my laptop, Ignoring the site. I hope she doesn't find out that I did this, I don't want to ruin our friendship but what else can I do? She wont listen to me, She never does.

She always thinks I'm being rude or trying to ruin her happiness, and yeah sometimes that's true but not all the time.

For once I just want the best for her and Jackson isn't that.

Present day

I open the link to the burn book sight after a lot of people started looking at me and chuckling.

After that stunt Dawn pulled I wont be surprised if she said something on there.

"This is what happens when you play with fire Tia, You get burned. Have a nice life xoxo, Sincerely, Dawn. Your not-so best friend"

"What?" I snap at everyone. "You really think a show like that bugs me, she just wants attention. The little slut. Stop staring" I yell.

Everyone looks away and continues doing whatever they were doing before. Great, she knows.

Why did I think she wouldn't figure it out? Now if I try to explain she wont listen and Jackson chased after her like a lost puppy so it had the opposite affect then what I wanted.

What am I gonna do now?

Dawn's pov

I turn around to see Jackson running up to me "What do you want?" I ask as I stand and wait.

"Are you okay?" He asks

"Yeah, I'm really great" I plaster a fake smile on.

"I'm sorry about the other day..What I said was wrong."

"Oh forget about it, I already did." Lie. He said I was being slutty, and I was but it still hurt.

"Oh" he looks at me. "Can I make it up to you?"

"No." I smile and walk away, He's gonna have to work harder then that. I'm done with the old Dawn who would have forgave him and said yes, The old Dawn who would let Tia treat her like shit. She's gone, This is the new Dawn and no one will treat her like shit, she's done. She's had enough.

The new Dawn is strong, confident and I like her.

I'm gonna be happy and enjoy life and no one will stop me. I'll do shit on my terms, no one else's.

oh I promise Lillian to introduce her to Miranda and Kyla.

"Wanna hang out? We can look for Miranda and Kyla -Dw"

"Sure, meet you in front of the chemistry class? -Lil"

"Sounds good xx -Dw"

Lil is the only one who's been nice to me since we met, she doesn't expect anything from me and she's so sweet. I start heading towards chemistry, noticing people staring at me and whispering to each other.

"She thinks that just because she dyed her hair and dressed halfway decent that she's cool, she's so wrong."

"Yeah she's still an ugly slut"

Ignoring them, I keep walking. I don't need this in my life, I need to stay positive.

"Hey!" Lil calls out, running up to me and wrapping me in a hug. "You look so damn gorgeous" She almost squeals

"Thanks" I blush as I hug her back. I don't think I'll ever get use to being complimented but it's nice.

"C'mon lets go find Miranda and Kyla" I say as I lead her towards the basement, near the cooking class. "They usually hang out down here"

"Not creepy at all, Do you ever notice how empty it is down here?" She asks

"Yeah, and why is the cooking class in the basement?" I let out a small laugh

"Why would anyone hang out down here?" She asks, curiosity in her eyes.

"Because it's empty and people like Tia don't come down here besides for class" I reply honestly.

"Good point, and I'm sorry for what she did to you, I heard what happened, and don't worry I'm on your side not hers."

"I would never make you choose, Lil. You can still be her friend if you want too." I don't want to keep her away from having a good life at school, I'm a nobody and she can be somebody, I don't want to drag her down.

She smiles at me genuinely. "Even with the edgy look, you're too sweet for your own good. Tia would make me choose and I choose you, You're everything she isn't and honestly I believe she's threatened by you."

"Eh, I don't agree but thank you." I smile back at her.

"Oh there they are" I point to 2 girls sitting on a set of stairs, chatting away. "Meme! Ky!" I call out.

They both look at me, surprised before huge grins form on their faces, Miranda immediately gets up running over to me, her medium length royal blue hair, bouncing as she walks. Her light blue eyes stand out against her light olive complexion. "Hey, it's been forever" she says as she wraps me in a hug.

Kyla makes her way over, Her brown hair goes all the way down to her waist, and has chocolate brown eyes and light peach skin, her glasses sitting perfectly on her face. "It's been to long, we missed you Dawn" She exclaims.

"I know I'm so so sorry." I smile at them. "This is Lillian, She's new and really cool."

"Hi" She says shyly.

Miranda pulls her into a hug. "Don't be shy with us, we're cool." Kyla nods "Yeah we don't bite." Kyla adds

"Speak for yourself" Miranda jokes

"Dawn has told me so much about you guys" Lil smiles

"Only good things I hope" Miranda chuckles, her melodic voice echoing in the empty halls. "Damn forgot it echoed down here" She shakes her head

"So like, where did you move from Lillian?" Kyla asks

I turn to Miranda while they talk. "I'm sorry I lost touch."

"It's okay, Figured Tia kept you busy." She halfheartedly smiles.

"Yeah..." I sigh. "I'll come around more, okay?"

"Ohh I have family there!" Kyla's voice is filled with excitement

"Oh you do?" Lillian asks

"Nooo don't get her started" Miranda jokes

"Rudeee" Kyla jokes back

"You have such a big family, they literally live everywhere" Miranda says

"True" Kyla agree's

The three girls start chatting like they've known each other forever, causing a huge smile to form on my face and a feeling of accomplishment running through my veins.

I really missed having them around, they're quirky and overly excited but it's amazing. I wish I could be as happy as them, They're so full of life and they get along with almost anyone if they try to whereas I don't. I hate meeting new people and everyone usually doesn't like me cause I'm shy at first.

Tia understood that and she would push me to get out of my comfort zone and help me make new friends....but I don't have her anymore.

I lost my best friend because for some reason, she hates me.

She betrayed me and now I feel alone, I went to her with everything and now I don't have anyone to talk to.

I can't trust anyone.
