Chapter 1

Elizabeth POV

Jasmin, Will and I burst out laughing when Liam and Paul started singing along to Grease, the movie that’s playing on the TV in my room. We’re having a movie night and I chose to watch my all time favourite film Grease.

“My ears, they’re burning!” Jasmin shouted, covering her ears with her hands.

“We’re not that bad at singing!” The twins, Liam and Paul, shouted back. My parents are out tonight so we have the house to ourselves. We wouldn’t normally be this loud but since we’re alone, might as well.

My bed is covered in pillows, comforters and all things soft and cuddly, and my floor is covered in pizza boxes, empty soda cans and empty bags of microwave popcorn. I’m going to have to tidy this up before my parents come back but to be honest, I don’t mind. A little mess as a result of a night full of fun with my friends is fine in my books.

We’re not the type of people who go out to bars, have one night stands and get drunk. We’re the ones who would chose to be in pyjamas and spend time with each other over tight clothes and getting laid. I love my friends to death, I never want to leave them.

“Yes you are!” I shouted as I laughed. Liam and Paul are, like, tone deaf. They can be serious but they can also be crazy insane. It’s that way with all of us.

“You’re gonna regret that,” Liam said before sitting on me so I can’t get up. Then, he did the worst thing possible.

He tickled me.

I screamed and laughed at the same time, trying to get out from under Liam. I evidently failed and laughed even louder.

“Say you’re sorry and I’ll stop,” Liam told me. I could hear the others laughing. Traitors.

“Never!” I shouted, tears rolling down from my eyes. Not bad tears.

“Ok then,” Liam shrugged before turning around and tickling my feet. Curse him, he knows that’s my most ticklish spot.

“Fine! I’m sorry!” I shouted. I was breathing heavily when Liam finally stopped tickling me. “I hate you.” I’m obviously lying, he’s one of my best friends.

“I know,” Liam smiled.

“You guys are traitors,” I stated before standing up and walking to my door.

“Where you going?” Paul asked.

“To go get another drink, I’ll be back in a minute,” I said, slipping out of my bedroom. I walked through the dark hall and down the stairs. I turned on the kitchen light and went straight to the fridge, opening it and starting to looking for a drink.

I shivered and goosebumps covered my exposed legs when I felt like I was being watched. I looked around, noticing I was still alone in the kitchen. I looked down at my legs and saw there were still goosebumps. I only wearing fabric shorts and a baggy sweater so my tanned legs are visible.

I often get the feeling I’m being watched but I ignore it. I just brush it away as that, a feeling.

I grabbed a can of diet coke before walking back up to my room, turning the kitchen light off. I walked into my room where my friends had changed the DVD to The Mask.

We finally fell asleep when the sun started to rise. I was laying across my bed with my legs handing off one side my my hair off the other, Jasmin beside me. The boys either slept on comforters on the floor or across Jasmin and I. We don’t mind.

My dreams were full of unfamiliar red eyes that I swear I’ve seen before....
