I wake up, expecting to be in a Hospital room but instead I’m in a house. It’s not my own though. My eyesight is really good, I can see everything, and by everything I mean I can see dust particles, and outside the window at kids playing hopscotch on the streets of LA.
My neck hurts a little. But I want to get up. I’m alive, and I can’t believe it. I get up with no effort at all. And it’s so easy to walk almost like I want to go faster, and faster, until I’m nothing but a blur of wind. The speed of light. Then, I see Jaxon and I rush towards him, but someone else catches my attention, a beautiful woman staring at me. Round 17 years old. She has pale skin, red eyes, and golden brown hair.
I raise my hand to say hi to her, and she does the same.
“Hi, I’m Araya.” I say, and she says the same thing. Confused I take a look at Jaxon.
“Araya, you were turned into a vampire. I’m sorry the bite was too big. I couldn’t do anything about it. I…” I rush towards him and kiss him hard on the mouth, and when we break apart he’s smiling.
“I love you.” I say, while he caresses my face.
“I love you.” He repeats, and for that moment it’s just us in the world and no one else exists.
“I can’t believe I’m this beautiful.” I say looking into Jaxons deep red eyes.
“Araya. You were always beautiful. It’s just now that you realize that.” Jaxon says, leaning into me. I smile, it was such an easy decision to pick Jaxon over Lucas. We have so many things that are different about us. But that’s what made us perfect for each other.
And now that we’re both vampires we can finally be with each other. Properly, and with no consequences. Because now we can’t hurt each other.
Now it’s just us.
Forever, and in love.
Into the Everlasting realm of Eternity.
