Chapter 13

“I’m pregnant...” I read over and over again. Anger and pain-filled my whole body as I read those two words.

“Dude you coming to get food?” Blake asked pulling me out of my thoughts. He hasn’t read his letter yet from his sister.

“No, I’m not hungry. You got a letter from Kinsley, right?” He frowned looking at me worried.

“Yea, I was going to go through them after lunch. Is she okay, did something happen?”

“She sent us a letter that we would get at the same time. Blake your going to be an uncle.” I watched as anger fill his whole body as it did mine. I should have just told her when I was home maybe none of this would even happen.

“Do you think it’s his?” I shook my head, knowing it wasn’t Brandon’s.

“No, I don’t think so. When I was with her the one night, she was taking a shower. I heard her phone go off, some guy named Lucas was texting her.”

“I’m pretty sure that’s Caitlyn’s brother,” Blake said rubbing his hands down his face.

“Do you think she knows?”

“I’m sure she does by now. I haven’t been talking to her too much.”

“We will talk about that later but what are we going to do?” I sighed, looking back down at the letter. As much as I want to be there with her, I can’t. Blake and I are to go home in the next couple of days, but I don’t think I can go with him.

“Are you going home?” He asked pulling me out of my thoughts.

“Blake, I can’t. It's just too much right now. I will try and get there to meet the baby.”

“She’s going to be devasted.” I nodded.

“I know. As much as I want to go home I can’t see her happy with another guy.”

“I’m sorry. Believe me, I wish this could be different.” I nodded, not knowing what to say.

(Blake’s pov)

I walked through the airport finding Caitlyn looking down at her phone. I smiled setting down my stuff, waiting for her to look up at me.

“Hey.” I smiled watching her face light up as she saw me.

“Blake!” She gasped. She quickly came over jumping into my arms. I smiled leaning up to kiss her. It feels so good to have her back in my arms.

“I missed you.”

“I missed you too.” I smiled setting her down.

“Let’s get going.”

“Your apartment or parents.”

“Parents, I need to see my sister.” She nodded, looking nervous.

“You know right?”

“Yes, your brother is the father?”

“Yea.” I nodded setting my stuff down in the back of her jeep. She grabbed my hand as got in the jeep. As much as I want to head back to my place, this is more important.

“You didn’t say anything right?”

“No of course not.” She smiled leaning over kissing my cheek. We pulled to the house making me somewhat nervous. I walked up to the door and knocked while she wrapped her arms around my waist. I watched tears poured down my mom’s face as she wrapped her arms around me.

“Your home.” She cried.

“Yea momma I’m home.” She pulled away looking me over.

“I’m so glad your home.”

“Where’s my sister?”

“She’s in her room. I’ll go get her.” I nodded as she pulled away and I turned back to Caitlyn.

“You ready?”

“She’s going to be pretty upset.”

“It should help you’re here a little bit.” I know she needs me here, but she needs Dom more. I turned to see my little sister walking down the steps.

“Blake.” She sobbed.

“Hi, sissy.” I smiled pulling her into my arms. Her little belly pushed into my stomach, so I couldn’t hold her as tight.

“Is Dom here?” She pulled away looking over my shoulder.

“No, he should be back when you have the baby.”

“He’s mad.” She whispered.

“Kins, he’s not mad. You know he will call you and everything.” I tried to plead with her.

“Yea.” She sighed pulling away, but I could see how hurt she was. We walked into the living room sitting down.

“So, am I getting a niece or nephew?” I asked trying to lighten up the mood. She smiled rubbing her hands down her belly.

“We find out next week.”

“So, when do I get to meet this guy?”

“Well, we are having a family dinner tomorrow. Just the siblings and the kids will be there.” Caitlyn smiled.

“Sounds good.” Tomorrow is the first time I will be meeting her family. I know I should be nervous to meet her family, but I’m more focused on meeting Lucas. Hopefully, this guy is better than Brandon for both of their sakes.

“You excited?”

“Yea. I know you just got home but I’m exhausted.” She yawned.

“Of course. I’ll let you get some sleep. Call me if you need anything.” I got up and wrapped my arms around her hugging her. Mom came back over sitting next to me.

“How is she doing?” I asked making my mom sigh.

“She’s doing the best she can. Having you here is going to help her but she needs Dom. She’s scared that you two are disappointed.”

“He wants to be here, but you know why he can’t.” Mom nodded.

“I know. I think it was just bad timing for everything. She’s happy about the baby don’t get me wrong, but she’s scared and confused.”

“Hopefully she can relax more that I’m here.”

“I think she will relax more if you and Lucas get along too.”

“I’ll do my best.”

“I know you will. I know you two probably want to spend some time together. I’ll see you both for breakfast.”

“Thanks, momma.” We said our goodbyes before heading back to my apartment. I pulled her into my arms holding her close to me. With everything going on, she helps me calm down. She smiled leaning up to press her lips to mine.

“Shower with me.”

“We’re wearing too many clothes.” She smirked. She squealed as I scooped her taking her to the bathroom. Since I was in full uniform I helped her take it off before stripping her down.

Her naked body curled into me as she slept peacefully. It seems so surreal that I’m home and she curled right up against me. I pulled her closer kissing her temple.

“Baby go back to sleep.” She whispered.

“I can’t sleep.”

“You want to talk about it?”

“I’m okay, sleep I’m not going anywhere.”

“You nervous?” Caitlyn asked as we walked up to the door.

“Not really.”

“Good, everyone is going to love you.” I squeezed her hand as we walked in the door. I saw my sister talking to one of the sisters with I’m assuming Lucas’s arm wrapped around her.

“There’s the baby sister.” Lucas turned and smiled at us.

“Lucas this is Blake. Blake this is Lucas and my sister Paisley.”

“Hey Paisley, Lucas I would like to talk to you for a minute.” He nodded pulling away from Kinsley.

“Blake.” Kinsley groaned.

“It's okay, it's just for a second. He’s dating my sister and I’m with his sister.” She nodded in agreement as she let go of Lucas. He led me to the den and shut the door behind us. He seemed like a good guy, but I would trust Dom more than a guy I barely know.

“How are you and my sister?” I asked him.

“We’re okay. The baby was not planned at all.”

“I can’t say much since I’m dating your sister as well but please just take good care of both of them.”

“Of course.” He smiled shaking my hand. We walked back into the living room where more people showed up. Caitlyn quickly came over wrapping her arms around my waist. I smiled leaning down to kiss her forehead.

“This my sisters Harper and Bailey and their husbands Ryder and Wyatt.”

“Welcome home.” They smiled shaking my hand. The rest of the siblings came over and I got to meet them. Before I knew it all the little ones came rushing in. One of the little girls came over and tugged at my hand making me look down at her.

“Hi sweetheart, what’s your name?”

“Hi Charli, I’m Blake.” Caitlyn turned to scoop up the little girl.

“Hey, monkey! This little one is Harper’s baby girl.”

“She’s cute.” Charli quickly turned to hide her face against her neck.

“I think she likes you.”

“What’s not to like,” I smirked at her while she rolled her eyes.

“Kids time to eat,” Zoey yelled.

“Cait, you got her?” Harper asked.

We all went stood in line to get food. This is only just the siblings I can’t imagine what holidays are like with all the cousins.

“You okay?” She looked at me worried.

“Yea, I was just thinking Christmas is crazy.”

“It is but it’s a lot of fun.” She smiled looking around at all her siblings. I smiled looking down at my sister that had a smile on her face. As long as she’s happy I will always support her.
